Personally, I would just be happy if they made healing more combat-focused then the typical "Sit back, throw out heals, mana-up, repeat." Not that I'm against healing and usually play healing classes in MMOs, it just doesn't seem Star Wars-y to have a dedicated healing class.

I mean, I know they have to bang around the IP some to fit it into the MMO mold, but the only healing I remember was either replacing hacked off limbs with robotic parts or that gigantic tank that Luke was in after that Hoth monster attack.

Hm. Maybe that's what SWTOR will do for a healer: the healing class will be a gigantic walking tank of that stuff, kinda of like the Kool Aid man. "Oh yeah! Jump in my magic force water for some heals! Oh yeah!"

Wasn't Vanguard's Bloodmage an interesting spin on healing? I never played it but it sounded like a great implementation of "fun healing".

All of VGs healers were good, you didn't feel like a little bitch just because you made green bars go up.

Disciple was my personal favorite in VG.

2 heal methods and resources + martial arts ass-kicking goodness.

Any MMO that implements this class again has my sub.

How MMO will the game be ? So far I get the impression the game would be could be improved alot by removing MMO and adding limited Co-op, better gfx, story/quests/combatsystem + plan for future addons (more planets/spacecombat?xwingvstiefighter style).

My thoughts exactly, If they created Star Wars:Origins, it is far more likely to succeed, not to mention that they can sell it on consoles.

Ok. No.

Even if they only sold like a million copies (NA and Europe), which given that Aion achieved that and that was a new IP from a company with a bad reputation, and this is a) Star Wars and b) Bioware, they would make significantly more money in an MMO. Which means it's way more likely to succeed.

Money = Success. Period.
