This map here: Qeynos Catacombs -- EQ Atlas I see what you mean though when it comes to combat. Last edited by Treesong; 08-24-2009 at 12:50 AM..

| Interesting that the simplified, primitive graphics work because of the context they're in. Those character models nearly look as simple as freerealms... Everything shown looks good, but of course you're not going to be excited when you do crotchkick #19988. I really didn't get a sense of it as an MMO at all, is it a single linear experience? Looks heavily scripted which adds up to heavy instancing. I suppose even if it was a wow clone in every aspect other than what we've seen here it's not another high-fantasy game. |

| It looks very good. Stylistically it looks like a combination of WoW and Mass Effect and just makes me wish that Bioware was doing a Mass Effect MMO rather than this... Still it looks pretty damn good and a site for sore eyes after Galaxies.

+3 Internets | The sith warrior looks strangely hunched forward when running with his lighsabre drawn, didn't like that animation at all. I hope there is some way to skip/rush through voiceover-dialogue scenes, if I have to wait and listen to it all i'll probably cut my wrists. |

Huge fan base, casual friendly, lower level tech friendly, decent stylizied graphics, good story, solid Dev. rep, hmm...sounds familiar.

And if you thought the Leeroy Jenkins Youtube shennigans were something when he was wiping a group, imagine when he makes a bad decision and changes the entire leveling process of your character from then on? I hope that Bioware sticks to their guns and actually makes decisions matter in SWTOR but I wouldn't be surprised if they are forced to waffle a bit and put in a "Do-Over" button at the end of the flashpoints due to community outrage.

| Orc hill was a motherfucker of a newbie area. Everyone in tattered cloth, with maybe some leather pieces thrown in. You and your entire group could seriously catch an ass whooping if you were stupid. |

+56 Internets | Breaking low level humanoid camps was fun. Flash of Lighting the healer-types so they went gallavanting off while you tried to kill the others before they returned, then having roamers path into the camp while your little group desperately tried to stretch its minimal resources. And bugger-all if the Pathing Gods sent the Healer the wrong way and it found another camp. Being a noob in EQ was fun and hectic.

| If they let you re-run most of the instances I don't see any reason why it should influence your character storyline, I imagine they will be more isolated scenarios. What about lying to your superiors about the death of the captain whether you killed him or not? Other classes will never see that and it keeps the story intact and gives you "meaningful choice", whatever that means ... |
