I have been waiting for this announcement since the first grumblings of a teamup were announced. Here's hoping that this isn't an epic failure of SWG proportions.

I'm a huge Bioware fan, but their main draw is story.

I loved KOTOR and KOTOR2, however I have no idea how they'd translate into an MMO. I'd actually prefer a KOTOR game more inline with Jedi.

Also, Lucasart's involvement and desire for the NGE switch in SWG makes me uneasy with them involved in any product. I fear they'll push to make World of KOTORcraft, something that'll suck.

You right that Biowares main draw is story. That makes any MMO they do that much more desirable. If anyone can make the static worlds of todays MMOs interesting, it's Bioware.

Isn't the guy heading this up the same guy who helmed BG and BG2? If this game has half as enjoyable and alive a world as BG2 then this game will be classic.

Lucas puts out shit consistently. I wouldnt blink twice if this was a SWG NGE clone with a few ideas thrown in from Bioware.

The main problem is - the average MMO player don't give half a fuck about story, you all just click away the text and try to advance as fast as possible.

The old "it's not about the end it's about the course" is bullshit, I'm a dude that sorta reads WoW/WAR quests and there's a few quite interesting but I think few actually halt their character progress for that.

The only way they can make it work is if the story unfolds before our eyes, on scripted events we can't skip, and that are cool to the point we won't be bored to tears.

Day 1 game and will beg for a beta account but still, it's a challenge.

The COOLEST aspect of this game is that it will be your actions that will freaking matter to your alignment (that was hinted) and the end-game might be between the 2 factions that pigeonholed themselves into the good/evil corner, with probably some neutrals in the mix like KOTOR 2.

AoC gave us a few options but they didn't really made any differences.

Well I suck at math...but yeah high chance this is doomed to fail. I hope it is good have yet to have a brillant scifi MMO but I am not holding my breath.

I'm pretty sure LA is gonna keep their dirty mitts off of this one. They've seen what they're capable of and what Bioware is capable of. I'd really like a new style to MMO's, but at the same time I don't want them to go so out of the box they try to be unique for the sake of being unique. Instead of coming up with something that works for their "vision" for their game.
