Roots aren't changed at all, though I thought I saw a note saying they were supposed to break as intended?

Getting the usual BW Roots me, get focus fired to death while root doesn't break deals in scenarios still.

Thanks for your knowledgeable input. The combat system has improved a lot since beta, a lot of things have, it just isn't completely perfect yet.

Oh and WotLK might be in "alpha" as you say, but the core game has been out for many years, WotLK is just an expansion.

Or it was in the patch notes right here:

We have fixed an issue that was awarding an overly large experience bonus to players who killed many monsters in rapid succession (IE, several killing blows within a second or two of each other). This will largely only affect small groups that use AE abilities to kill off a very large number of monsters with a single ability activation.

WoW's combat UI has never been muddy though. I'd rather have loot lag over muddy UI.

And yes I play War. And it drives me nuts.

The morale lag is fucking gay. The root yourself and your target tank morale ability is awesome when it goes off...and your target had gotten out of range when it did. So now you're both rooted..and you can't hit them. I love that.

That only seems to be a fix to their xp bonus stuff for mass kills that they removed soon after the first few people hit 40(the 5 10 15 20% bonus xp). It doesn't really say anything about penalizing xp if you kill mobs in packs instead of killing them one by one, which from what I understand, is the former complaint about AEing. Seems an awful nerf, just like when aoc nerfed powerleveling and AEing. If people want to level fast, they should be able to. Don't think wow ever nerfed frost AE leveling, or dungeon powerleveling, they just made quest xp so much better than it's not worth doing anymore. Going the other way is pretty gay imo, the game isn't terribly slow to level in, but it sucks people should be penalized for AEing when some classes were obviously designed with that in mind(magus/engineer/bw/sorcs).

Does anyone have any good screenshots of the T2 scenarios? I'm writing an article and I don't have access to the game atm and google is not helping me.

Pounce for White Lions was just Hotfixed in game without a downtime. Now works like this...

If you have nothing targeted nothing happens.

If you have an enemy targeted you now Pounce all the way to them...MUUCH further than previously...used to only bounce you on the ground about 5 feet forward. Now you basically leap towards them, i Love the new version soo much more!

Yeah I've been searching with all the keywords but maybe I get a lot of blogs with stock photo's from warhammeronline.com's grab bag sessions.

If you reinstall the game from disk or disk images or the D2D installer, most of the UI lag is gone. Pretty sure a patched up beta/preview weekend copy has some kind of UI debugger enabled, or something.

Not sure if they ninjad it in this patch or not but heals show as green in your combat log now instead of being tied to the same color as damage.

Killing multiple mobs in succession really nerfs your exp now.

I've seen 5-10 mobs down at once, and the exp gets cut 50% for the first, 56, 66, 76, 86% for the rest.

Mark Jacobs has recently posted that it will be disabled pending him discussing it with the design team and finding out what the thinking behind this is. This hurts solo players of classes that AE well as well as AE grind groups.
