| Hell I dont know much about the guy other than the tidbits I had saw the last nearly 3 yrs reading the SWG flames. He had gone onto the MMORPG brds to apologive to vets in their dedicated forum...but they outright roasted the guy. Those idiots were calling this guy anything but a human being...some pretty vile chit. After all the clamor with NGE, and the stigma on his resume he probably couldnt find another Dev job. Whether it is the case that he is black balled or not, it is pretty screwed up when you feel suicide is the only way out. I know all about losing everything as I lost my career at the age of 33 due to Crohns Disease since I was a kid...but I would never resort to this. Others though think only of themselves...and take this avenue. I blame Jeff 99.99% for what he done...but the crusading SWG vets with their rampage for nearly 3 yrs have a role in this as well. No matter how minute thier cupability might be...they are some fucking arseholes for keeping on the guy. I wish the best for his family. My Bro in law took his life last year, and the effects are still felt in my wifes family till this day. Just sad all the way around. |

 | Check your facts and quit being insensitive pricks. Jeff was one of the stars of the gaming industry, an extremely bright and creative person. He was a great guy to look to for professional help, and was one of the kindest people I've ever known. His passing had nothing to do with SWG or the NGE, and he has held several esteemed positions at various game companies since then. He was working at Spacetime Studios for some time before getting hired at Zenimax Studios and was supposed to start there next week. He had a lot of personal problems going on in his life that contributed to this - if you think it was because of a video game, you're nuts. I can't even imagine what his family is going through - but I know the industry has lost an amazing contributor and he will be missed.
