Both rogues and locks were manageable at one point. Not 'til COS and skillcoil + the buffs past it were they a concern. Then they turned into the same super anti-caster nonsense they were for a short time while they outgeared/levelled people at launch. And I'd love to see WoW's login numbers since Warhammer before I support claims that people are or aren't quitting because of how fucking horrible the PVP balance is. Either way - it's lame duck and I hardly think MORE people are enjoying the arena system with the lopsidedness so I'd only assume it is in decline with only spikes of interest if your class is deemed worthy of viability. But yes allow me to pause and laugh while the counter to paladin's obvious burst insanity making levelling on PVP servers and the arenas more obnoxious is apparently that there are two other classes that are fucking ridiculous and that somehow you have your fingers on the pulse of all WoW subscribers. ![]()

| Then there was the divebomber Druid one month into TBC, so we're at 4. Look, balance can be stretched really far without any harm when it comes to WoW leveling. Power players that actually bother to research shit, spec properly and start with gear advantage from the previous expansion hit the cap in a couple of weeks, then vanish into instances. The casual crowd and the teribads crawl around for months in their quest greens and tri-spec builds and whine more about the bored at-the-cap rogue or safespot sploiter than about a certain class having 37% more burst and 23% more control than they. Having said that, I expect ret palas to be nerfed very soon. Though that will be because they can currently efficiently solo instances that are waaay out of their league. And what are you planning on doing to them for PvE where so many other people will be gearing up and scaling properly? Slightly buff them every patch to keep them in-line with other people? Fuck that. I'm not saying they need to stay where they are, but when people at 80 are saying that they aren't topping the damage meters in raids, but provide utility and some raid synergy, they don't deserve to be at the "lol you're 75% of the damage of a pure class!" Personally it sounds like you've been hit by a few people on the PTR. I'll give you a pro-tip. Quite a few people on the PTR are sporting S3/4 gear and aren't going to be even close to what you will see in live. In other words. Fuck you. | |

| Suprised noones posted this yet. Yaay early gladiator. We've revaluated certain aspects of how the arena system and current arena season will be affected during both the next content patch, and the launch of Wrath of the Lich King. For starters, the current arena season will end in respect to the ladder upon the release of our next major patch. What this means is, we'll be taking a snapshot of the current season's ladder just before the realms are taken down for patch maintenance, and our normal process will commence to determine who is eligible for the end-of-season rewards. Teams and ratings will not be wiped at that time, and will carry forward allowing players to earn points each week (and buy gear) until the launch of the expansion on November 13th. Almost immediately before Wrath of the Lich King releases, all arena teams as well as ratings will be wiped and arena charter NPCs disabled. |

| yeap yeap | Your 25k honor at lvl 70 weapon that took however many hours might cost 50k honor now and take the same amount of hours. More honor per kill and what not at lvl 80. It just prevents somebody from walking up to the vendor the second they ding level 80 and buying a full set of armor or something. They'll get a few pieces but they still have to work for the rest. Pretty fair change from a complete wipe imo. |

Good move. I was really close to nixxing both accounts and not picking up the expansion. Still mulling it over due to blatant class balance retardation, but at least my finger isn't hovering directly over the button anymore.
