[WAR] Warpatch.exe not working?

Hey just loaded the game up and tried to start the patcher. After clicking on the icon itl just sit there for a while then 5 min latre will give an error message saying "patch client was unabe to retrieve the file "patcher.prod.sig" from patcher server..." I downloaded an alternate warpatch.exe file from ebgames.au but that didnt work either... any suggestions on how to fix this? Anyone else having the same problem?

Does it start up still and ask you for your password? If so click the box on the bottom that says full file scan. Worked for me.

Maybe you should ask on the WAR forums or atleast in the WAR thread thats several pages long already..

Man just a heads up if you got the aussie/kiwi version is bugged (the cds), there's a solution on the frontpage Warhammer Alliance .

You need to delete both warpatch.exe and warpatch.bin before you put the downloaded version of warpatch.exe in that folder. That tripped me up for a while.

Na it doesnt take me to the patcher at all. Im in Kentucky right now so i dont know how i woulda gotten Au version but i tried those fixes and it doesnt work. Been on customer support for 2 hours today so it seems like theres at least a few other people with my problem. If none of you guys are gettin this il shut up for a while and just wait for EA to post something... or go back to playing wow haha

Haha dont have much of a choice, Army tells me to go some where i cant really tell em no. Ive been reading forums all day and it seems like alot of the CDs are bugged so who knows maybe theyll put some patch up that everyone can get to, not just AU players = /

This happens to me on occasion. I've been using the old OB client. Sometimes when I double click the shortcut it simply tries to patch without logging in which results in that error. I just restart the program and it's always taken me to the login screen on the second attempt.

I think your issue is a seperate one with the "Patcher.prod.sig". I had the same problem last night for a bit when att.net my Isp provider had a DNS server go down for a few hours.

If you're using the Beta game still, install the game using the cd's or the DD you have. That and make sure you have the "new" dx installed that came with the CD's. That solved it for me anyway.

And make sure you're connected to the internet. Hey, you never know.
