This is great news. I just posted in one of the other threads about grinding a rogue up b/c mine is stuck on a pve server. This is some crazy good timing.

I've also been thinking about transferring off of Stonemaul with my mage and war. My guild is pretty mediocre and it doesn't seem like a whole lot of guilds are even active and clearing t5/t6 content. And I have to struggle weekly to find a kara pug, and very often it is a team of retards. The pvp is also a fucking trainwreck (cyclone). Horde almost never win AV, and the other bgs are a coinflip. The weird thing is that I can't seem to find competent arena teammates anywhere, and I get rolled. I can't get above 1600 with any team except one kickass pmr I was in but the priest bailed for no reason the week after we went 9-1. It's really frustrating. Now I know part of it is me, I'm new to arena, but I've always done really well in any pvp encounter I've had, and I have been playing all of s4 so far.

Anyway, what bg is mal'ganis on? I'm very seriously considering transfering my mage there to see what its like. With so many guilds clearing high end content, are arenas equally geared and competetive? With wotlk I will get to start on an even footing but in general is it harder to get a better rating there than on a different battlegroup? I guess this would be both a good and a bad thing: easier time finding good teammates and better challenge, but also facing better geared people and harder to get better rating.

If you're horde you don't want to join stormstrike at the moment. We constantly roll horde in AV. I think I lost 1 AV in the last 10 I've done this week.

I guess if you want to win WSG then go ahead and join stormstrike if you're horde. Maybe the reason we own so much is that 99% of the decent PVP players don't play much or at all until WoTLK.

Joined a game last night and Alliance went straight to frostwolf and rolled the 2 people on defense, horde was whining in /bg about "Oh look, another game lost" and then all the sudden, "HORDE WINS!" followed by 35 people going "WTF?"

By the 6th or 7th game people start clueing in and just ride straight to Van with me and my group. I think I've only lost one in the last 50 games I've played.

I like to think of all the 13 year old alliance kids sitting at their PC's going, "Wait....what?"

Nerf protadins. <3

Best part is nearly every fucking game like clockwork some druid with 9k hp will run in, taunt a 3/4 marshal'd Van off me and get insta-gibbed and then complain about the lack of heals.

Has anyone moved their characters yet? I put through my request on Friday and I still haven't had my Mage moved even though it was said that it was "about 1 hour" wait.

Hopefully I will actually be able to play my character by Monday evening... /grumble

I moved my shaman and druid on the day it went up on the PTR. Took me an hour or so for the 900 mb client and i was good to go...

I see now. You're one of those people that looks for reasons to be offended. It must be frustrating to go through life like that.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about paid character transfers not the PTR.

Moved one and it took less then 5 minutes. May be related to which servers are involved and loading.

Moved my priest earlier today and it took less than an hour, but your mileage may vary. I've got about 10 moves on my account history and I think the longest any ever took was 2 hours on the day before TBC came out.

Log into Account Management on the wow site, click "paid character transfer" and then click "transaction" and see what it says. You have to be the one to click the transfer through once it's been approved and then it's instant.

I'd been checking back on that frequently, and finally had it be "approved" around 11pm last night. It was strange that it took two full days to process.

I'm happily on my Mage on my somewhat lackluster PvE server absolutely decimating PvP in the open world. I can't wait for the 3.0 patch if Mages stay the way they are currently.

What are you gonna do when you find someone who lives thru an AP/POM Pyro?

I'm going to not spec Arc for PvP?

I've had a lot of fun with the control with Frost. It's not OMGICRITMYPANTS, but has been fun so far.

Hell, if Mirror Image doesn't get the shit nerfed out of it, that might be fun as a "gimmick" PvP spec. I might dust off some of my T5 and go play with that a lot.

Who knows, maybe talent stables will somehow make it into Wrath and I can just have two specs.
