i love this as a activision shareholder, blizzard is going to make a fuckton of money from this.

but it sucks big black dick as a player, it was a tiny, inconsequential distinction but I always felt like I could look down on PVE/RP servers as losers and now I cant

open pvp was my sole motivation for logging in, atleast before everything was farmed off to battlegrounds. like mentioned above though, there's just no real distinction between a pve and a pvp anymore. with things as they are now, i just can't possibly see why anyone would be bothered.

which brings up the question- why wasn't this done so long ago, if the only real change to pvp since then has been with the arena system? it seems that they've either whithered the distinction away with this move in mind, or it just became convenient after the fact. either way, it's all kind of a joke. they just cater to everyone (which is awesome!), but sometimes they leave large portions of their playerbase behind when trying to please the whole. i guess it's a good model, but the ancient "watered down" cliche is blatantly appropriate here.

Been waiting for this forever. I actually leveled my priest on a pvp server and then moved to pve to be with friends...his server (Trollbane) already is a ghost town though so as soon as I saw this thread it was instant peace out. Over on Naztajar now.

Open PvP... please God give me open PvP. It would be nice since there is an opposite faction guild on another server that people are just hesitant to reroll to play with, but you'd get to kill all of the stupid fucksticks on both factions!

Stormrage is a decent medium-high population server. Almost zero horde but it's a PvE Server so it's not like it matters.

Multiple guilds (I think, I only heard another had but I haven't bothered to verify) have downed Kil'Jaden. I know Critical Mass has; many more are on or past M'uru.
