Wait, that 40% slow scouts get is a melee slow? I thought it was just a snare.

I got my S/P up to 12/10 last night. Doing pretty well actually. I can kill stuff faster than any class I've played so far. But I'm level 12 with a blue +1 xbow.

Anyway cool macro to open

/cast AutoShot
/wait .2
/cast Vampire Arrows
/wait 1
/cast Shot

Then spam Water Arrows or whatever they are. If the mob gets close to me you basically autoshot and melee at the same time, which is awesome.

Priest secondary with regeneration is OP at lower levels.

I havn't figured out a good way to use Blood Arrows.

Blood Arrow is pretty pointless AFAIK. Play around with the order and try to put Vamp Arrow in the first slot...I usually lead off with that since its the more important skill IMO and needs to be on mobs at all times. Although at your level it probably doesn't matter much.

Only reason I use autoshot first is because there is no GCD associated with it, and the /wait .2 is only to account for lag. They're basically going off at the same time.

and if you go s/m you are also getting the root from lightning. Plus fireball & lightning can be cast on the run as well as different scout shots, and you get the silence on top of it.

i haven't done any organized pve yet but for pvp s/m seems pretty solid if it isn't too much of a glass cannon.

It's basically WOW-Lite. Animations, graphics are well done for what they are attempting to do. There are 6 classes and at level 10 you can pick a secondary class.

Each class has Main-only and secondary skills. You can access the both if the class is your main, but if it's your secondary you can only use the secondary skills. You can switch between your main/secondary whenever you want for free in your home or a class hall.

Gear comes in the typical colors. Sometimes it has rune slots that work like gems in WOW. You can also modify gear with upgrades so it becomes +1 through +6. There are different enchants to use and you can buy. There is a transmutor thing to get them. To get the good stuff you have to buy shit from the store for cash. So you'll never be the best unless you pay for it, but it's not a big deal since the game is free.

Also a permanent mount costs you around 15-20 bucks. So find a class you like to play then buy it I guess. Also you can rent them in game for cash for certain periods of time.

You can also my mounts for 30 days or 1 week or something like that. You can also buy more bag space. Not sure on the numbers since I havn't looked yet.

It's basically a quest driven game and you can do dailys etc. Or you can grind.

More crap on the game:
With every level you get TP (training points) that you use to level up your skills. You also get TP every time you kill a mob worth experience. So you can farm up your skills at max level since you won't have enough TP to max everything when you hit 50.

At levels 15, 20, 25, 30 you can buy elite skills which correspond to your class choice. Both classes need to be 15/15 etc. The level 15 elite skill for a Warrior/Rogue is different from the Rogue/Warrior.

Hope thats some random stuff for you.

edit:
Addons I use are:
ybag
ikarus
wowmap
psinfo
foobars

There are some others you can take a look at. The scripting/macro language is awesome too. It's a G15 + conditionals type stuff.

Also, whats the first low level dungeon?

To be honest I think scout is pretty underpowered right now and would not be my recommendation for a class to play.

First groupable instance is the Windmill in Logar...around level 15. Forsaken Abbey is the first really good instance though, mid 20s.

I've never been in the windmill. Never got quests for it. What's inside?

Scouts arn't that bad for low levels. I matched mine up with a Priest for a few of the elite skills.

If you want the OP FOTM go M/P.

Windmill is where the level 15 and 22 crafted stuff comes from...I think all that drops in there are the recipes and ingredients for it (but not positive)

Ventis set for cloth, Hochim set for chain, Yolta set for leather.

The level 22 stuff is retarded hard to make/farm for, but the set is the best thing between level 20 and 40 pretty much.

lvl 22 Hochim set
lvl 22 Yolta set
lvl 22 Ventis set

Depending on your class you may get a decent set from the Abbey (the chain stamina set is nice) but for a few these are the best things for a while.

The question is how much time do you want to invest on equipment that is bound (with no real resale value to vendors) instead of leveling up.

EDIT: On the plus side, now that you can sell things for diamonds in the AH, you could easily make a nice little profit farming/crafting/selling the lvl 22 sets.

I have yet to do the crafting thing in this game. I have no idea how hard/easy it is.

I really haven't either, but have heard its not bad. I believe theey have it set up so you can get all skills to 20, three skills 40, 2 to 60, and then one 60+ or something along those lines. I'm trying to make ~45 ASAP so I haven't dabbled at all.
