Waiting. Gave AoC a shot even after playing beta for months and they failed miserably and pretty much every new MMO has that same thing going for it lately. If in 3-4 months it's improving and not turning to a pile of poo I'll play it and be happy about having a PVP game again.

I think the game and concept is great, I'm just more concerned about how long the end game will last before it gets repetitive. Fighting for two contested zones in order to raid the city over and over will get old pretty quick. Definitely giving it a shot. There's a sort of a free trial anyway with the headstart and grace period thereafter anyway. Anyone should know whether they'll like the game in that time.

I'll be jumping in balls deep as soon as Head Start hits. Probably pop an adderall or five and try to hit 40 asap.

You have to completely control 6 different HUGE zones (out of 9) before you can siege a city where there is another 2 layers.

There are also a lot of very good scenarios to participate in, its WAR!

I am indeed concerned with the many beta issues still present, that said, I'd buy and play this game today if they released in this current state and LOVE IT. Can't imagine they won't be addressing issues with the game. I believe they have a winner here that will sell at least a million copies, thats a lot of scratch to fund bug fixing. The real question becomes, will they get this stuff fixed or will they ruin their good name by hastily rushing patches out that break more things than they fix and repeatedly nerf some things into the ground while allowing exploitable bugs to ruin the game. (I'm LOOKING at you AOC)

I have faith however, the game as IS, is entirely 100% better than AOC ever was, the mechanics are great, the world is great, the classes are great and seem largely balanced to me.

I'll be playing, probably starting a guild on the Order side. Some things I hope they fix fast though.

Combat polish - This needs to continue to be a priority.
Population balance - Who knows if they can do anything beyond a flat cap.
RvR Zone Distribution - People need a reason to not be in only EvC from T1-T3
Pet polish - Even the turrets need some love, its almost a chore to play a pet class as it stands now.

I think the base game is really fun. And I hope they start adding content shortly after release.

Call me when they fix the CTD and Memory Leak Issues.

Can't get the game to run for much longer than 30-45 minutes at a stretch before my computer crashes to blue screen or chkdsk or desktop.

And it isn't my computer sucking

Will be playing, game is fantastic. Witch elf is probably the funnest class I've played in an mmo.

I do wonder if Order will have an edge with the quality of players. On pretty much every server I've ever played the "bad guys" were where the majority of the good guilds/players went but I wonder if this is the game where they decide to jump over and play Order.

I can't stand the combat system but I really like the other parts of the game.

Won't be putting any money into it unless the combat gets a lot more responsive and fluid, it was honestly painful to play for me in the current state.

Loved it, keeping my preorder. The scenario battlegrounds and RvR are exactly what I was looking for in pvp.

Honestly the combat/pve bugs that exist didn't bother me much, after a while I got use to the timing. Only thing that pissed me off was my character(mainly my two arch mages) would get bugged out in that they wouldn't be fully connected to the world and only half the npcs in an area would show up, then in a couple mins would be kicked back to server with my account still logged in. I hope that is cleared up for open beta.

I just don't see how this carries into a very long end game, especially one you have to pay a subscription fee for. And how much you have to rely on other morons on your server to contribute to even get to an end-game situation (i.e. city sieging and looting).

The fun outweighed the bugs and lack of polish for me. I'm going to play on release for sure, missing the head start weekend because of GDC Austin though.

LOL, RvR can carry a game further than any PvE. Look at Shadowbane, although a little different and still buggy as shit, its still going strong.

PvP when applied correctly, can have vastly more re-playability than any PvE game can.

And as to me purchasing... Meh I will see if I get it. I will try and stick this one out a bit rather than rush out to buy it. But eventually the curiosity will get me because Im a sucker in the end.

In RvR the objectives might be the same, but the battle will be different everytime you play. In PvE, you do the same thing everytime, only differences between attempts is when someone fucks up.
