| Just a heads up on the healing numbers. The quick boost to full health you get when you are uplevelled to 8 is included in the figure. This tends to be why low level healers, who die frequently, being far more fragile and less able to take care of themselves than high level ones, get their numbers heavily padded, often ending up very high up in the rankings at the end of a scenario. Of course this is not to say that there are not the terribad twits we all know and dread who never heal anyone but themselves, if even that, but it's not always as bad as it looks. |

For one, you've got class disparities at play in the various battlegrounds - i.e. only Orks vs Dwarves is matched up with each side having tank/ranged dps/healers, and only missing melee dps with the culling of Hammerers and Choppas. Even at that, it's not a perfect mirror (RMs more closely mirror Zealots than Shaman for instance). Also, none of the classes really aren't fully matured into their roles then either, tanks don't get their taunts til 8, and hold the line til 10, for instance, hamstringing them at the defensive game a bit for much of the time spent in the first tier of scenarios, and this potentially further accentuates the skew in performance caused by class imbalances. Finally, you have population imbalances which have interesting effects. The lower population side in any given scenario set is able to queue faster, and play more battles per character than the higher pop side, and are also more likely to end up with consistent teams (which of course can be good or bad depending on the quality of your members). All of this adds up to another factor, where, as we all road the initial levelling wave, the side which more consistently won, usually the one with the faster queues, levelled quicker, and as they did so, and filled out their ability sets, and geared up with RvR reward gear, became much stronger. By the end of the night, I was seeing one side with 7 or 8 folks in the level 7+ range (usually 3-4 in the level 9+ range), and the other with maybe 1 in the level 7+ range, and the mass in the sub level 4 area, which is usually the forumal for a rout. As such, I don't think we can really glean at all much at this stage about the performance of one side against the other in the long run. We'll have to wait more til the factions start to mix amongst eachother, and there's less of a power gap between the top tier folks in the scenario and the low end. Perhaps even til the majority are RR40. And of course let's not forget that scenarios, with their balanced populations are a whole different world from noninstanced RvR. | |

| Playing Crag Mere (or however it's spelled) as an Engineer was a bit sad. Played probably 10-15 games, won maybe 3 or 4 of them. I chock a lot of it up to being beta, tons of level 1s who just want to get straight into checking out PVP (I waited til about level 5 to start scenarios), and generally the game being new. I will DEFINITELY be rolling on release with a guild. This game will be twice as fun if you play with people you know. Plus, I'm going to be playing more for the RVR than the Scenarios. |

| For those of you looking for a guild, Hate it currently recruiting. originally from the old school EQ zek servers. There are a lot of us on so getting a pvp group going is a lot easier. We are going open RVR server. if you are in open beta, we rolled Order on Caledor. Hate • Index page There aren't any real requirements yet. If you want in just reply on this thread: warhammer recruitment Also as a reminder, this is NOT in any way, shape, or form a family guild. If you do not have thick skin or feel the need to get worked up over everything then this guild is not for you. |

| Registered User | Ruined (Order) is recruiting a few players, you'll have to start off as a trial member. We're from Everquest (Sullon Zek), Shadowbane (Fear) for PvP MMOs. Message us in-game on Ekrund Server in Open Beta, or PM me on forums for server details on the 16th.

+1 Internets | I'm looking for a guild on a core server, Order side. I work nights so I usually play early evenings on weekdays and all-nighters on weekends, but I'll usually miss a couple nights a week due to RL obligations. I've been playing mmo's since EQ, and I can say that I am a skilled and dependable player on the battlefield. My preference is Ironbreaker but I'm also open to the other dwarven and human careers. The elves can suck my squat dwarven dong. Edit: like a user in the other thread said, I'm looking for a "medium core" guild. Last edited by GeneralF; 09-14-2008 at 09:48 AM.. |
