how do you make your pet actually listen to you? If the target of my pet never dies, he never comes back to me (no matter how many times I press follow). So I end up having to resummon after every fight.

I got stuck today on a cave, so I had to file an appeal. I thought I was going to be stuck there for hours, but to my surprise....

4) In response to player feedback, we’ve added RvR and NPC chat tabs for new players. These tabs filter scenario chat and NPC chat respectively. In order to minimize frustration to users who have already customized their chat window, we will not be overwriting any current settings, so this change will affect only new players. Players who wish to add these tabs may do so through the normal chat configuration options. While in scenarios, players will no longer be able to select "Need" in their loot windows unless their character can use the item being offered according to his/her race and career. In other words, if you are a level 5 WL, you can "Need" on a level 7 WL item.

5) Fixed a bug that prevented players from creating an alliance with more than two guilds. Now that this issue is resolved, alliances can grow to great numbers to crush their enemies!

6) Fixed an issue that was causing the chat window to reset to its default position at logout.

7) In order to deter players from spam-mailing, WAR continues to enforce a 5-second delay between sending mail messages. However, we have reduced this delay to 1 second for mails being sent to alts or guildmates

8) The war against the gold spammers continues. We’ve added new code that will hinder the spammers as they seek to carry out their nefarious deeds! No details, for obvious reasons. This is only the next step, not the final one, in our continued battle against them.

9) All game logging to files will be disabled by default. This should help those with lower-end machines in heavy congestion areas like scenarios, open RvR, etc. It might even help some higher end machines depending on other programs that are running on the user's machine during these events.

Okay, those are the highlights. We have some important hot fixes as well that we are working on as well that affect open RvR. We'll talk about them as soon as they are ready to go. They will bring a smile to the face of the many people who have been asking what steps we are going to take to help make open RvR more inviting to people. And no, we didn't nerf scenario exp, rp, ASAP, ok? happy?

The AFk fixes are a start, but really dont solve the AFK issue. All one has to do is step off the starting pad, find some bush somewhere and afk, right?

Also the 20% bonus to exp and renown is hot! I wonder if this will work at all. I wonder if one could make a character on that server , use the 20% exp bonus to level, then transfer to one of your choosing? Do they even have char transfers yet?

the good news on afking is that its going to get shittier and shittier as time goes on.. there is no AV in this game where you get a ton of bonus renown for the work of like one person, so if you arent killing you are earning crap.. most of the afking is people who want the exp bonus, so its gay right now but it will be much less of a problem at 40 when the focus switches to renown and you end up earning like 300 for afking vs 6000 for playing.

And there are good mechanisms in place for avoiding having to split renown with afkers like leaving a group with an afker to move to a new group so they dont get any renown, but unfortunately those will prolly be done away with in favor of eliminating the soloers (which i think is going to be the potentially much larger problem) But the spawn area stuff should help a lot.

Follow is only used to make your pet return after using Stay. Use Pet Passive (even if already passive) to make your pet come back.

Scenario Join All Button - Addons - Curse

Lets you join all scenarios, or the ones you tick, group or solo, it's very efficient. Unless they add a way to select which scenario, this mod will still be better since you can exclude shitty scenarios and such.

+Bonus is nice and should have been added at launch. This should have considered server imbalance from the very beginning (alpha/beta) and ways to avoid or lessen that. At least it's better late then never.

++Need rolls. At least that would stop the same few people I see in scenarios rolling NEED on everything. At least they said it's scenarios only. I can see out of scenarios (and occasionally inside) guild groups who just feed the salvage crafter the 'crap'. Easier then having to send or trade them around afterwards. Probably a tiny portion of people who actually does tho.

-AFK Crap. I HOPE I am wrong but I don't see it doing much. It would probably piss people off more then it helps. If you die and respawn, you get no renown or xp til you leave the area. Am I'm reading that right. It says whenever you enter the spawn area and not just 'Entering Scenario' you get that -buff. The 2 min kick is fine.

What this will only do is let the afk run forward to outside the spawn area and GG them. They can just sit there instead and it actually would hurt more. Cause now the opposite side can kill them for +Points on their side when they weren't able to before. Not only are they not contributing like before, but they are giving the other side points now. While you are dead you get XP and Renown when the respawn button is up. They can afk 1/2 the scenario time then plus whatever time they get standing there before the enemy gets that far.

What happens when a scenario is a complete wipe? When they push all the way to the opposite side? If you standing at your spawn and range them, does those kills not count? Yeah, if it's gone that far, you're gonna lose but at least let them get the satisfaction of saying they got a single kill so it's not a complete ZERO win for the other side. (If they can do it)

How about fixing the scenario timers? 0:00 and the match still continues.

I miss WAR beta. Back then, you could make a new character, get a few levels, then pop over to New Emskrank for some fun RvR for a few days, until you leveled out (then had more fun in Troll Country/Ostland). Now, even on a top five population server, every RvR area is a barren wasteland, and scenarios are either mildly fun (generally when you're playing the healer alt) or a complete joke (when you're playing the DPS - and not being healed).

I've been in more WAR guilds in one month than in four years of WoW. I just can't believe how many extremely poor players and total PvP newbies there are in this game. It's gotten to the point of just standing there and laughing/crying while ten idiots attack eight different enemy tanks and ignore the soft targets.

I'm curious how many others of the people that were heavy posters on this thread up until a week or so ago are now back in WoW, leveling up that character that you want to start getting to 80 on 11/13/08.
