The other thing is they've eliminated some things that would normally be in the chat line, like asking for directions on a quest(marked by red area on map already), or lfg which you can easily do now with just opening the group window and join the open groups around. Few people do chat in scenarios once in a while to call out flag runners and stuff, or to criticize their members lol, other than that not much time to keep chatting when you're always on the move. For the most part I see a lot of guild groups that go in and they're on vent most likely.

| What server you pick makes or breaks your experience with this game. Do not pick a small server (medium/medium or below). You can't get queues, there is little RvR going on and few people at PQ's. Our guild is about to reroll for the 2nd time to a new server b/c of it. Any servers out there that are highly populated and desperately need more Order? We want one where the population imbalance is like the worst possible b/c we're so sick of not getting queues. Also, is there any US server that tends to have a lot of Oceanic people on it or has a lot of action at off hours? We have friends in Singapore who we'd like to play with us, but its a no go unless they have stuff to do in the wee hours of the US night. |

+18 Internets | Gentlemen, its that time again: Time to showcase some new addons that will make your life in WAR a little easier. zMailMod - I have not tested nor used this addon as I do not have the need for it, but it allows for mass-mailing. Preciousss - I love this addon. It allows you to see the tooltips for all of your currently equipped jewelry when viewing a jewelry purchase to make easier comparisons. Sticky Gear Settings - Mythic failed at having helm and cloak toggles remember that they've actually been detoggled. This addon fixes that. Be sure to RTFM. NearestOpenGroup - Another brilliant addon that aims to fix Mythic's oversights. In this case, it sorts the Open Group frame by nearest distance by default. Hide It Please! - Aims to correct the stupidity of Mythic's PQ window. ClosetGoblin - An itemsets mod, by the maker of ClosetGnome. I haven't tested this, but I have used ClosetGnome, so I'm sure this addon will be fantastic. Think Out Loud! - This is designed for roleplayers. However, you can use this addon to make an "Assist Me on %T" type of macro based on an ability, or a "Rezzing %T, don't release!" based off a rez cast. Be sure to RTFM. AutoDismount - Tired of right-clicking the stupid small buff icon to dismount? This fixes that bullshit by letting you dismount whenever you use an ability. Warning: This addon does not work if you use the SmartAlert addon. Use AlertFilter instead; this is an addon that allows to you disable those stupid-huge "error" type messages. Mostly Harmless Item Linker - For some inexplicable reason, Mythic decided to compete with EQ1 in terms of User Interface unfriendliness instead of World of Warcraft. This addon aims to bring the player back into 2008, with a workaround to itemlinking. Lastly, I want to once again bring PlanB to your attention. If you are playing a Black Orc or a Swordmaster, you owe it to yourself to give this addon a shot. I will never play either class without this addon. Its just that convenient. Mythic needs to copy this and make it default. Also guys, if you want to make your lives much, much easier when it comes to dealing with, updating, and installing addons, download the Curse tool at download the Curse Client. If you are familiar with WoWAceUpdater (of World of Warcraft fame), this is similar. Last edited by Jayblah : 09-28-2008 at 12:11 PM. |

| I'm wondering if the reroll craze and people still undecided about classes is hurting the tier 3. I made a Bright Wizard on Friday for kicks and the T1 queues were popping very quickly. I was very quickly level 4 and had barely done the first 3-4 quests in the starter town in Empire. The T3 on Averheim aren't dead (just slow if you ignore Tor Anroc), but I'd have thought more people would be 22 by now, and the only thing I can think of is rerolls (especially looking at my guild roster). |

Anyway, I realize complaining about it is pointless. I picked the wrong class because I think goblins are annoying and the greenskin retard-speak gets old very fast. I should have ignored that and looked at the abilities long enough to realize that shamans are superior in pretty much every way. It's too late for me to consider re-rolling another healing class at this point, so I'll just slog my way to 40 and hope that somewhere in the balancing passes of the next couple months that zealots get unfucked.

+24 Internets | So, is it euro server that are shit, or is everyone experiencing lag in scenarios during prime time/weekends, at least for certain tiers? Tier1 and 2 have been almost unplayable for me, tier3 is fine, and tier4 surprisingly lags just as much as the first 2. 2-3secs delay on every action, spells castbar stop at full and lag, then the spell fire, melee ability just fire 2secs late if you're still in range. |

| I am definitely having the most fun I have had in an mmo since EQ1. Mad props for them coming up with a system that is completely grind free. I am r17 r16 now, and it doesn't feel like I was trying at all. There is no urge to grind up to max level as fast as possible. You just play the game and the levels come on there own. |

| I'm on Karak Eight Peaks and it's absolutely laggy as fuck in scenario's. Instants are fine but normal cast spells just sit at the end of the cast bar for 5s or so before they finally finish, and if you move at all in this time you interrupt them. It's especially annoying after sitting through a queue of 350, and it's really starting to change my opinion of the game. |

+5 Internets | That mass mail mod isn't exactly what I was looking for, but at least it automates the excruciatingly painful 20 second cooldown. Someone needs to shoot the man who came up with this. And I like the stickygear mod. It was just bloody annoying having to turn off your cloak everywhere you went. A massive monstrous black orc with my funny little bed sheet on my back looked retarded. +12 Internets | Great addon I found that lets you customize your hotkey bars: Vertigo - Addons - Curse Vertigo allows you to customize action bar layouts - set the number of columns, the number of buttons on the bar, show/hide the pagers or background for each bar, and whether or not to show empty slots. ![]() |
