I'm not sure how you improve things.
Simple change the UI to be helpful I don't give a fuck about how much AP you have an often confuse that with Health.

Yeah healing is a bit of a bitch in this game. The UI certainly doesn't help...they need to have a distance indicator, spells should be completely red when a person is out of range and not just the small hotkey in the upper right hand corner, and the warband ui is just awful...it needs an entire revamp. The easiest way for me to heal was to ignored the group, or warband ui and have a persons healthbar pop over their head when they become damaged (you can enable it in the options menu). This made it easy to quickly spot those that needed to be healed. The healthbars that pop up are still way too small, but it's much easier healing that way imo.

How did they nerf Black Orks? What significant changes were made?

Is the DoK anything like AoC bear shaman? It looked to me like that from the description.

They decreased the dmg per hit of 1 ability, but upped it from 3 hits to 5.

They may have lowered damage for another.

Otherwise, they added a visible effect for the person you are guarding.

Edit: Also, any ETA on servers coming back up?

I don't know about other places, but I placed my pre-order this morning (gogamer) and I just got the beta code and headstart email about a half hour ago.

These were the only changes:

* Save Da Runts: This ability now has visual effects when hitting a guarded target.
* T’ree Hit Combo: This ability now hits 5 times instead of 3, and its damage per hit has been reduced.
* Da Big Un: The damage of this ability has been reduced, but it now has a much longer range.

Doesn't seem much to panic over IMO.

So DoK vs Zealot

Most of their heals are identical: low cost long duration good healing hot, small instant burst heal, moderate heal to whole group

DoK has some amazing group hots and group shields

Zealot has a large single target heal, single target shields on low cooldown, and much better buffs

The main difference is their resources. DoKs have two pools: essence and action points and Zealots only have action points. DoKs can replenish their essence through meleeing (which costs AP) and using Blood Offering, which channels AP into essence over a few seconds. Should be noted that DoKs perform all their non-healing utility while meleeing (snares, debuffs/buffs, etc..). While I still believe DoKs are the strongest healer, Zealots don't rely on certain situations to be fully efficient. DoKs are bad against a zerg for sure, since they won't have a chance to BO unless they use terrain extremely well and it'll be too dangerous to melee.

In my experience as a tank and MDPS DoKs/WPs can't save your ass if you're being focus fired on in any way. Those big single target heals make a huge difference. You might get comparable total healing output but it's the distribution over your party that matters.

Damn. Those are some nice numbers. I could never get the hang of a WL when I played. I would always send him after someone, end up attacking another person and try to get him to attack my target and have him never show up again.

When I could get my WL and myself on the same target, the damage was insane. I just had too many problems with the pet pathing to do anything other then be gimp.

other than the few small changes that were on the class level, there was an overall change to the general tank class ability Shield Wall:

- Shield Wall: This ability now requires a Shield.

100% block chance for 10 seconds on 60 sec cooldown. Not sure if this is the change in question, but i can see it being a somewhat significant change (albeit mind numbingly obvious). Then again, it's a rank 2 morale ability, so i dont see how this change would be the one in question. /boggle

They just updated the Herald with presumed server names for launch.
