So after a few hours in (I couldn't stand destruction so I rolled a dwarf for now), all I have to say is... WOW, they really fucked up alot of stuff this patch.

I have a question about Kill Collectors. I decided to kill as many squigs in the starting area as I could to see if anything neat would happen but nothing did.

After killing about 50 squigs the kill collector stopped giving experience for kills however the collector quest text still stayed the same. It kept stating that I needed to kill more squigs even though I did not receive anymore turn in xp from the collector. So I stayed, killed 50 more and thus got the tome unlock for 100 kills but she didn't say anything more. Needless to say I was a bit disappointed; the extra XP was nice for the first 50 or so but I was surprised nothing happened. The collector did not even say "congrats you killed enough" after she stopped giving xp for squigs.

Is anything supposed to happen with these guys and its bugged out or are they just a source of a bit of extra xp?

Pros today:
Animations are MUCH better for all classes
Graphics appear sharper
The pathing has been 'improved' to the state that it was in CE CB (notice I said pathing not evade bug)
Character movement appears smoother, and the magus pet seems to be working which has made the class more fun to play.
The GCD improvements and ability queues have made for much smoother combat.

Negatives:
Never had a CTD during the PW or CE CB but had two today as well as a blue screen of death.
Mobs seem to be "evading" a lot more since the PW (Target Not Attackable)
XP seems too slow from quests / PQ's, seemed to be receiving less XP from player kills in scenarios as well

I've basically noticed the same things. I don't think I had a single crash in CB or PW but I just had a total system lock-up after playing about 30min. I also noticed slightly worse performance, maybe because of the slightly increased graphical quality? While standing on top of a hill in the Empire starting area and swinging my camera around quickly I probably dropped to 25fps for a very short period of time.

If EA/Mythic want to steal players away from WoW long term, I think they have no choice but to delay the launch. If they don't, all WAR will be is yet another buggy MMO that doesn't deliver. Isn't that what Mark Jacobs said they wanted to avoid at all costs?

Oh, for Christ's sake, how can you play this game for more than a day and still be sticking to that stupid fucking "pure healers" bullshit (i.e., only Runepriests count as "pure healers")? How about these (character "Elytharra"); any time I wanted to be #1 in healing, I was #1 (even as a level 3!). If I decided to pump out some damage, I was usually #1 or #2 in *BOTH* healing and damage. All of these were done within the past few hours in the game (and had similar results in PW, when I played mostly in Dorf lands alongside Runepriests). I sure do feel inadequate, not being a "pure healer" and all.

It's worth playing on release if you want non-whack a mole arcade PVP. If you want mostly just pve, no.
