Pretty sure snares don't obey the CC immunity. I was able to keep people snared constantly if I stayed with them on my Witch Hunter. Then again that could just be the WH's version because it requires combo points to be used and it only lasts a few seconds so you have to constantly keep applying it.

I imagine tank snares are the same though.

Yeah snares aren't on the immunity timer. edit- I'm not sure about roots honestly but I don't think they trigger the effect either.

Without the snares the melee classes would be basically useless, so it seems ok to me.

There are still ways to get out of snares however, knockbacks, roots, actual breaks...then hit your flee button and laugh maniacally.

I don't mind the snares at all. It stops the tards who love to jump nonstop while they fight heh. Keeps the pace of battle at a intense pace, but not insanely slow. Id be pissed if it was nonstop 70% snares all day but the 40-50% stuff is fine.

Yeah was mostly wondering because in aoc, for some reason, snares were on diminishing returns. Answered the silence question too, now, what about gear switching in combat(weapon, don't care about armor and doubt it's possible anyway). I suspect you can't, because tank boards seem to be very set on using either greatsword or shield, if you could I guess they'd just tell people to switch on the fly.

You can't switch weapons in combat. It's kind of dumb.

Yeah you cant do jack in combat :P No moving items in your inventory, destroying them, nothing.

I don't mind the no switching weapons. Forces you to choose what you want to do going in, as some moves require a 2h or a shield, so instead of you getting the best of both worlds, you pick one. This way for example you cant use a knockdown with your greatsword, then switch to shield and use that knockdown(no clue if you even get knockdowns for both,just purely hypothetical).

Its one of the things I really hope they change. When they make skills 2h or s/s required it needs to be swappable in combat. I guess I got spoiled in WoW on my warrior, using macro's to shield up when focused was win.

Why does it need to be changed? I'd like to hear your reasoning. I'm perfectly fine with tanks not being able to switch back and forth to use skills from different lines.

I'm jealous. After playing for 2 days in preview, I really am not looking forward to another week of pointless leveling that'll be deleted. They need to just release the damn game :/
