Death system sounds like Death penalty to me. Hopefully something to prevent mindless zerg rushing in keeps, even though from what I've seen rez points are pretty damn far to begin with.

Their list is beyond useless too. Don't think they could have made it more vague, not only the various points are vague, but they pretty much also include 95% of the game. Oh well, guess I'll wait some more until I can decide which class to play.

On some fronts, it can take you more than FIVE minutes with a mount to get back to the fight.

Yeah, I'm pointing at you, Dragonwake...

They never release detailed notes until the patch is actually up. Keeps people from prematurely whining over changes until they have had a chance to try them in the game.

The problems you've mentioned are the heavy focus of Mythic's developers for this game this time around, for example, little to no travel time to aid in RvR defense, lots of testing for city battles, just to name a few.
This is pretty lol-worthy, assuming a company won't make the same mistakes considering 99% of these MMO companies track record with multiple games. But as long as we keep ponying up the money, they don't have any reason to stop.

That said it's obvious Warhammer is a much more polished game than DAoC was at release, so maybe someone other than Blizzard has finally learned.

Updates to the death system could be a good thing. As it is currently I didn't even notice the cost of death. It was extremely cheap to just pay the npc and get back to killing.

Hopefully we see the real patch list soon.

Honestly I don't see where blizzard gets all the praise from. I played from early beta until BC then tried BC for about a month and then finaly stopped returning for good. In that time I had my fair share of issues as much if not more then other games like EQ, EQ2, Daoc, SWG, to name a few. Problems like SLI never working and actualy crashing my client in raid area's like Onyxia/MC. I have found memories of patch days and server que's, people seem to forget about all the gayness that the BG's brought. Plus constant sweeping class changes that effected your PVE game play to fix minor PVP issues. My favorite was the supposed needed fix for Mortal Strike and how Warrior dmg was constantly being adjusted as people found ways to gear up and be more effective. Anyways the only thing I see that blizzard has done is take way to long to release content between patches. I wonder if theres some kind of subliminal message being flashed thats got everyone on the crack thinking that WoW was some how flawless and unlike every other game out there when it came to bugs and other issues.

Question to the masses. I'm working on a few new articles for next week. Though I have a few ideas, I want to ask everyone, what are the few things you guys still need information about that I would be able to say via the NDA. What kind of guides, review/previews do you guys want to see?

I want to be able to provide information that people would like to see.

Paths of advancement (tactics, etc.), what are all of them? Also, maybe a 'reasons you should read your Tome' type thing. What does the tome provide me besides what beast I just killed, status of quests, etc. I know there's Tome Tactics, I even think I had one but either it was bugged or I was too dense to figure out how to actually use/equip it.

Tactics, yup that's one I'm planning on doing. However until a beta server that's up and running that isn't under the NDA, I won't be able to do the Tome correctly since I'll have to get my own screenshots and accurate sources.

Take your time, I doubt I'll have it figured out before launch as I'll be skipping Open Beta and waiting til the headstart (since I know I'll enjoy the game already, I'd just rather that anything I do in the game advance my real character instead of one that'll get wiped).

Tradeskills I'd say. Besides potion making , which was easy enough to figure out for the most part. But what others.

Hopefully talisman making goes into the game, will make filling enhancement slots alot easier, but what else is there? I haven't heard of anything else.Maybe thats their plan , so they don't have to balance in TS gear for people who want or dont want it to be on par with other sets.

You can't go double gathering either, so your going to end up taking at least 1 of the 2.

There was a player's guide posted somewhere in this thread the explains all the tradeskills as they are in game right now as simply as I could. I forget what page it was on, but it's a PDF you get with the client down load. There really isn't much there right now.
