It's in one of these WAR threads - depending on the status of parameters in the world, you are put into a certain battlefield. There's also the possibility of segmenting battlegrounds into multiple phases. Depending on which side wins a phase you set the BG that everyone plays to something else. If one side gets to phase 5, they might have vendors or perks there. The theory is that you can't dilute the battlegrounds if all bgs are contributing towards some exterior goal. At that point you can do things to synch all BGS: play till someone wins OR a timer is hit. So while population and interest might be the major deciding factors up to cap, cap should have limits or funneling. Even in the first group of 3 BGs, the dwarven gate and the khaine's embrace scenarios were way better than the other one (which was broken for most of the weekend) simply because you would be running around looking for people more than fighting, compared to the others. The dwarven gate was far less spread out and yielded the most kills, exp and action. Maybe the answer is randomizing everyone's queue and not allow dodging. That then detracts from being tied into the scenario relevant to your zone, but I think people would prefer doing whatever is fastest in the long run.

| randomize maps like alot of games do would be fine but i do like WARs solution of using different ones depending on the state of the RvR. I hope eventually they come up with a 'holiday' system like wow had to get people to do some of the old BGs that you cant do anymore cause you are to high lvl (tho they could come up with a better idea than just making it a holiday, they could do like renewed offensive events where high lvs have to go back to the old rvr zones and bgs to every so often or something) There is no excuse for a blizz like solution of having a few maps, that shit is just lazy and shows they dont care about pvp... they had some good pvp ideas like holidays and BGs but then they got lazy and stopped innovating and there solutions for rvr not really working was to remove it instead of fix it. |

| The thing is, in later tiers the scenarios are linked to events going on in the actual realm war. Also, winning scenarios for a zone contributes victory points towards that zone. In tier 4, when the war is being waged in Praag, and Chaos Wastes and Reikland are locked, there are two scenarios available to queue for in Praag. If Praag gets taken over and locked, and the war moves to Reikland, the Reikland Hills scenario opens up, and winning that contributes victory points for control of Reikland. If the enemy gets to your capital city, the only T4 scenario anyone can queue for is the capital city scenario. |

+15 Internets | You can't really dodge queues in WAR. As soon as a scenario pops, it drops you from the queue for all others, whether you join or not. If you don't like a particular scenario, just don't queue for it. |

| There was a dev post on the WHA forums saying something along the lines of the server names used during PW and OB would be the same ones used on release. I can't for the life of me find the post right now though. |

| Any idea when open beta is going to start? I was mistakenly under the impression that those of us that got in to beta before this preview weekend would be able to play up to and including the open beta but it seems all servers are down. That'll teach me to have a vacation planned a year in advance not knowing when the preview weekend was gonna be. Didn't get a chance to play at all other than the couple days before I went on vacation about a week before the preview. |

| Sept. 7th I pretty sure is starting day of OB. Probably a week of beta, 14th CE head start, 15th/16th Reg pre-order HS and 18th General Launch. (Maybe less on Head starts, considering its capped at 20, and that takes 1-3 days at most. 1 day is you just level hardcore, then farm money for mount so its ready for launch :P. As people will know their class and the leveling area's by this time ) Edit: Fuck you people are quick. |

Edit: Cant find a single post about a capped HS, so maybe it was just OB. Guess we will find out when they actually release specifics about head start. Last edited by Cinge : 08-27-2008 at 10:37 PM.

| Man, I'm waiting to hear some oldschool excitement about this game. Minor annoyances and small bugs aside, does it rock or what guys? Is it chaos and mayhem to get your blood pumping or what?? Or is it just another "meh" mmo? |
