If all you want to do is shrink the filesize of a jpg, I'd recommend Irfanview. It's a fast and lightweight little program (the executable is freakin tiny), and will do what you want easily and quickly. Also, it does batch photo conversion-- so to shrink an entire directory, you just click the directory, hit go, and it does all of them. Good for shrinking massive porn collections, for those girls you know you're never going to look at again but can't bear to delete.

Why is it so hard to use large numbers jumping around on screen ala WoW and Vanguard to show damage? I find this simple little detail to really add to the overall feeling of combat but what do we see here? LOTRO tiny little numbers scrolling with the words Critical Hit on critical hits, god this little stupid detail really fucking bothers me.

You guys think that this game will have a pretty big emphasis on alts such that jumping into the game a few months post launch will still be pretty lively/populated?

Almost all of the text in this game bothers me. Whatever, hopefully it's fixable/fixed at some point.

Is it normal that I log in, enter an unresponsive world, get booted back to server screen? This sucks.

After a whole day of playing I can say I enjoyed myself, despite the clunky controls and general sluggishness. They still have a lot of bugs to work out and a lot of polishing to do before release though.

I just have to say "ouch" to the big population imbalance problem. T1 RvR on that "Blood"-something server are reminding me of the big Alliance AV boycott on Stormstrike a while back. DE/HE is pretty bad, Greens/Dorfs isn't too bad, but Empire/Chaos queue times are over 30 minutes!

Got the DoK to 10 mostly just doing RvR (huge fun - great class). I read someplace that you should save your cash when you hit RR8 (which I did a while back) to get a great set of gear in some "tower"?

Only played most of the day today.

PQs are the only thing new and interesting I've found so far. Everything else is pretty stale. Obviously have not seen any end game, or real PvP. I'll probably wait and see how these turn out.

If you love WoW, and just looking for a different setting/challenge probably won't have a problem. I'm not a big fan of spam combat, but it was enjoyable for the most part, just nothing exciting.

A keep, head to Tier 2 and find the keep on your map, doesnt matter which pairing. At the top you'll find weapon and armor merchants.

I am enjoying it so far, leveling off of pvp is a pretty cool change of pace from wow.. pve quests seem decent but not really breaking the mold there other than the PQs.

Once you hit RR10 you can get your T2 renown gear I guess is what it is. Bring about 1g and you can get a pretty cool looking suit from a keep in a T2 zone like someone said above.

I can no longer log in to one of my characters it seems. Things are just out of sync on log in and I can't do shit. Anyone know what could cause something like this? I'm playing on Kraka Drak as a sorc, and I think I'm in the area of the first PQ with that dragon.
