Armor I agree with, as its pure stat based and has next to no resist ever, not bad for pve gear, but not something you want to run into RVR with.

As for the PQ's past stage when your solo, pretty much spot on depending on the stage 2, some are easy and soloable, some have the champions, and then only a few classes can solo them. But PQ's weren't designed as a solo thing you can hop into, they should require a group if not more to complete, allow for some social interaction.

This doesn't stop you from soloing influence if your past the leveling curve or in a desolate area. Most quest will have you killing in a PQ, so your going to be gaining influence anyway, and grinding some of the influence places in t3 and beyond is not bad for the rewards/money/loot table. Just mainly have to stick to stage 1, maybe a stage 2 depening on the PQ, and either go quest nearby to wait for a reset, or hit another PQ(there are so many, its quite easy to get to another one).
I think the PQ's are structured perfectly as they are right now since it allows people to solo the first stage for the best Inf per kill, then allows people to come together to finish off the later stages (if you want too). My only issue with them is how the loot bags are handed out. You're right about the better drops from mobs in PQ's at T3 though, maybe they tweaked the drop rate for CB, but that is where I got tons of drops and high value scavenge.

Yeah PQ loot randomness is weird, i have done about 20 PQ fully, and each time i got a lesser bag, even when being 1st. I never understood, perhaps just terrible luck too.

1) Is there any voice work in this game? If so how prevalent?

2) Are solo PvE quests any more innovative than say WoW's? I'm not referring to PQs. Does WAR make killing x number of y mob any more fun/different?

3) Are there fast travel mechanisms in game aside from player controlled mounts? Teleporting? Static transit like DAOC horse routes/WoW flight paths?

4) How are the overall spell effects? Do spell/skill animations change as they increase in level, or does a lvl 3 fireball look like a lvl 40 fireball?

5) How is inventory handled? 1 item per slot like WoW? Individual item weight?

6) Can you cast while moving?

7) Is WAR big on consumables?

8) How well can you remap keys? Does it give you the freedom to do multiple key binds (Shift-1, Alt-F, etc.)?

9) I really liked guild emblems on cloaks and shields from DAOC, anything like that in WAR?

10) When I left DAOC (slightly before TOA) player crafted items were important, and often times they were the best option available. Does WAR put as much emphasis on player crafted items?

11) How are emotes?

If you click on the PQ text when it's complete you'll see where you ranked in terms of contribution and then your rolls (1-1000) to determine your final place. I agree it's stupid to rank 1 in contribution and then get nothing.

1) Yes, most of the PQ's have some kind of voice from either a final boss or NPC your Helping. I didn't really pay attention to NPC interaction when getting a quest, most had slight speech but nothing in depth.

2)Still alot of Kill X and Y(never getting away from this) if you read the quest some are pretty interesting, and alot of your kill x and y take place in a PQ. Also a main storyline quest you get from early on and keeps going through the tiers(this is a really interesting story)

3) Each warcamp in a tier has a flight master that will take you to another warcamp in another zone or to the capital cities. You do not actually fly though, a short cut scene happens showing your guy flying off on w/e race's flight mount is, you zone and your standing in the warcamp.

4) They Don't change. There some pretty nifty spell graphics though, including runes on the ground, seals , nukes, debuffs,.

5)You start with 2 bags, and gain bags as you lvl up. Each bag is a set amount of slots(quite a few) and no matter what item they take 1 slot each. Quest items go in their own inv space, so they do not crowd your regular inv space.

6)You can cast instants, and there are quite a few of them.

7)Only consumables i saw was stat potions and health/ap potions. I assume there will be food ones though as there is a butcher tradeskill didn't see one leveling up though to 24.

8)Yes you can re-map, alt, shifts, ctrls. Fkeys. The only problem I had during beta was the key mapping sometimes resetting when logging in, forcing me to re-map some of the keys, but never all of them.

9)Guild Emblems on cloaks and standards.

10)No clue on this.

11) Most of them worked, and the /special for each class was pretty nifty. Alot of them though during beta if you did them, the character would just shrug, so they might of turned some off for beta. There was quite a bit though ,and some odd ones like /warhammer, or /waagh.

Cinge covered most of your questions but just a note, there are some classes that can cast/attack while moving. Both of the archer classes have abilites that are meant to be used while moving/kiting. Like Squig Herder Run and Shoot, and Shadow Warrior Spiral Fletched Arrow.

Awww, you know you love us.

That said, they're actually splitting up into two different servers TBD (one order, one destruction) so that they can offer a hospitable environment for goons to exercise their ADD and try out all the classes.

I don't believe they intend to have crafted equipment in this game...at least I haven't seen anything to that effect. Your guild emblem will also be on your standards iirc.

Lastly, you get alot of spells/abilities, so even though most of your skills level with you and the graphic doesn't change, you'll still be getting new stuff all the time.

Hopefully this will provide some insight to alot of you until it gets bumped off tommorrow morning. After 6 years here you realize the trend... no one works everyone posts at work.

I'm attaching the PDF thats came with the game since the beta was opened. It provides alot of information on the game (guild standards for the guy asking) and a hell of alot more. Check it out. Most of you probably have a shortcut on your desktop to this or its been in your WAR directory all along.

This ones from the Elder servers, but I really doubt its different from the non NDA servers.

Is there an announced time when free preview weekend starts? I pray for a sweet midnight start like guild wars had a million years ago but I don't think we'll be so lucky

I've been waiting for this point to check it out myself.

Not entirely surprising, but they want everyone in the office when the floodgates open.

We're looking at having things up in the morning (not specifying a time) but it depends on a number of factors. The most important thing is we ensure a great experience for everyone, so that's priority one

The Herald will be updated within minutes of the server going live, you can count on that!

Thanks all.

No. Some of the greenskin ones are entertainingly themed though, like stuffing dwarfs in barrels and throwing them off dams, or putting mud on dwarf statues to make them look like goblins. In contrast, the high elf quests appear to have been bolted together with components from the fantasy cliche construction kit.

Good, but laggy. No change in levelling them.

6) Can you cast while moving?
Depends on the spell/ability. Some can be, like throwing axe, but others will be interrupted if you move. There's a lot of instants though, so combat is usually pretty mobile. Almost everyone has snares to try and avoid silliness from this.

7) Is WAR big on consumables?
No-one really knows about the endgame. The primary pre-endgame consumables for WoW, food and water, are not used at all though, they just have staggeringly fast out of combat regen rates.

There are none, other than potions.
