If IainC was working for a real company instead of GOA, he would have been clearing his desk within a quarter of an hour of making that post. There are certain things you just do not say to your customers if you have any sort of professionalism, no matter what.

Think really loud, bitch about to your co-workers, make snarky anonymous comments on websites, sure. Direct communications to your customers? No fucking way.

One huge negative so far is the game is eating up 1.1gb of my ram and it lags the shit out of windows while playing in windowed mode. ;/

Is it like this for anyone else?

Where to even start with this weekend... It was not good.

First. About 1 in 10 mobs I would fight would just randomly at some point start telling me it could no be attcked, while at the same time it was attacking me forcing me to run. Outdoors this is not a big deal, deep in some cave or dingeon and it meant death. Many times over this happened.

Second. It kept telling me errors on my positional attacks. I would circle the mob 360 degrees (it was not attacking me) and no matter where i stood it would not allow me to use a positional that only required back or side of the target. this happened about 20% of the fights.

Third. Was telling me mobs out of range when I would be standing right next to the, Again forcing me to run away which in many areas is not an option.

Fourth. My pet would just randonly disappear from the UI, it would still be following me, but the pet commands and him listening even with hotkeys was gone, meaning I had to un summon him wait out the timer and resummon him again to get him back into the UI and obeying commands.

Fifth. Khaine's embrace sucks, enough said. This thing times out every single time i have ever done it and no other scenarios ever time out when I do them. This scenario is way to long and tedious, why do I have to set off the bomb 4+ times to win?

Fifth is a personal opinion, but every day in beta the game seems to get buggier and buggier = ( no I am not a hater and alerady pre-ordered and am buying it, but I hope they start ficing more and breaking less.

I disagree, thanks to the internet people can make death threats, and he responded in kind.

If you worked at Dillards in a mall, and a customer came up to you and threatened to kill you, what do you think would happen?

It doesnt matter if it is on the internet or in retail store at the mall, you get a death threat you call the police, you dont post about it and taunt them over the internet telling them that they have "problems" unless you are a moron.

Bright Wizards are the only people I ever fear and thats only on the rare event that they get lucky with their 2 hit combo + Morale nuke. I toss on my instant cast DoT and cycle my instant cast nuke (its like Shaman shocks in a way). Inbetween I simply use HoT's, shield, and the instant heal to keep myself up. Granted, it takes fucking forever, but it works. Most classes run out of futility when they realize theyre never going to be able to burst me down.
I have a feeling this is going to change soon. Me and my buddy had a discussion over healer surviveability, and at first we thought healers were way too strong, being too hard to kill. But after a little research into skills picked up by a decent amount of ranged/melee dps there are a lot of abilities that reduce healing effects. I play a marauder and there's a talent in the savagery tree that lowers healing by 75%. 75%! I'd love to see you hop around with your hot/small heal spams and two melee dps on you with that debuff on.

Edit: After more reading it turns out there's debuffs for healing received AND healing done. So I think pvp is going to get a little less spammy and a little more strategic soon.

I never would have thought I'd see a game with an OVERabundance of healers....
I was playing an Archmage on Ekrund this weekend, got up to 9/8. While it seems like there are alot of archmages in Khaine's Embrace, part of that is due to people having not figured out how the classes work yet, or who to kill on sight. Most of the time, people left me completely unmolested, and I tended to top the healing, damage, and kills charts without even trying. Any time someone on destruction side was smart enough to actually kill the healers first, we usually got rolled.

A lot of players either haven't figured out defensive targeting either, or don't really care to heal other players. When I was on my swordsman, I'd run into a mob of players to bust it up and try to kill their healers, and I'd never once get a heal, not even the instacast hot, which, when stacked from multiple archmages, is absurd. And one of these times was with 5 archmages directly at my back. Playing on the other side of the fence, as an archmage, if I was healing a swordsman using a shield, with at least one other healer, they'd live through like six other players without trying too hard.

I feel a hell of alot more secure with a runepriest or warrior-priest running around on the map than I do archmages most of the time.

tldr version: players haven't figured out "kill the one in the dress first"

Why? If the head of the company that hired GoA (Mark J) basically said those people have problems then why wouldn't the GoA guy?

Edit: Now I don't agree that he SHOULD have made those comments, but he probably felt empowered but Mark J telling the rabid crazies to basically calm down.

I'm guessing healers can cure those debuffs though. Although I'm not sure exactly how they work. Ailments, curses, cripples etc, are they all considered a "hex" that can be removed?

It's really too early to tell what is or isn't overpowered.

I will say that as a DoK, it seems that in very small scale RvR (2-4) I have very high survivability. I got jumped by a Shadow Warrior and some High Elf type w/a shield today. I was able to kill the Shield guy and started to go after the archer but he... vanished somehow. There has been a few other times where 2-3 were attacking me and I was at least able to survive 30+ seconds until backup arrived.

Everyone is trying to learn not only the mechanics of their class, but of the game as well. People have to learn what works, what doesn't work, what counters what, etc. Oh... and we are all of level 10. Almost every level for me so far has been a mini-game changer. I imagine this will continue to some extent as we progress, even moreso when you factor in Renown rewards, tactics, and morale abilities.

EDIT : I have no problem whatsoever with a company calling the idiots out. I'd much rather see honest, blunt statements than canned, PR laced bullshit.

Where is the tier 2 warcamp for the dwarves, the one with renown gear and tactics trainer? I found the tier 1 warcamp.
Just a name for it would be great, thanks!

If healers could cure those duffs with an instant cast debuff remove, then, uh, the debuffs would be pretty pointless. I could see bright wizards or some such having something that could remove it, something at least requiring communication, but I would be pretty surprised if healers themselves could remove healing debuffs.

Also, the melee classes healing debuffs seem more physical in nature, similiar to the way mortal strike worked in wow.

I went to troll country. Renown trainer was right there I believe, but had to head out to a claimed castle for the gear.
