| We had the linux version of ShowEQ running at our apartment and would just go around the zones finding the rare spawns to kill. I think it was for the mage quest but we made an Euridite mage and killed the actual mob and told people he was up. People would try and give us the items and we would reply back with BS quests to go on. A GM showed up and told us to go away. I played on Veeshan, does anyone on there remember the guy named 'TwoYakcs' or something like that and then Kunark came out and he was the LOL of the server? |

| Twoyaks was his name, I think. He had the brown warrior armor from hate, two yacks, and an fbss. It's been a long time. I just remembering seeing him a week after Kunark came out and got a good laugh out of him. I never saw him again after that. |

| Maybe it means SoE is finally listening to its players and will work on a new progression or EQClassic server. Doubt it. They're too fucking stupid to actually listen to people.

| I forgot about this certain VP exploit. This was after it was revamped into a PoP level zone. Most of the back dragons despawned a couple times during the fight and 3 of 4 protector drakes would spawn right on top of whoever had aggro at the time. Sometimes they would spawn at the cleric. Phara Dar would despawn multiple times and always come back to full health. Lots of fucking drakes to have to deal with. No one ever GK'd PD because of the drake ownage. So you would usually GK close to the zone in since you didn't have to be close to the mob. Normally you would kill Xygoz first since his lair wasnt hot. For most of the back dragons this was enough to help handle the adds that spawned on top of you. There is a Bot Command Server that you can send commands to control whoever is connected to it. So when you do a bca warp wp corner 3, all characters connected to the bot server would do it. So the story for Druushk, and Nexona was when the prots spawned both folks would warp to a pre set waypoint in xygoz's lair and wipe out the adds. For Phara Dar it was more of a challenge. I cleared out a few safe halls since there aren't many now, and made waypoints for each corner, and hotkeyed each spot on the cycle. As phara dar went through the script I just had to hop the monk and the cleric through the zone to stay a step ahead of the spawns. I know cheating is 'bad' but I look at it as a new toolset to see what you can do with it. I did play the game straight up for years though, for what its worth.

| Killing Phara Dar with Ghost Kill was easy. You just needed two rangers, and to put them in two different places. Once you get aggro, you simply warp to zone in and /fade (which zones you in and out). I used a rogue with PoTime pouch and two rangers. Phara died very very quickly.. Very very easy.. |

| I am pretty sure someone in this thread mentioned a recent patch that killed GK. I would stay away from that one these days. Instance or not. Most sites stopped giving it out with their packages. If you had the source you could compile it with each new release though. You can still pretty much automate anything. You can have a 2 box enchanter that plays with the best of them short of charming, same goes for just about any other class you want to use in support. With the bot command server you can control them individually or as a whole from normal hotkeys. AFK leveling takes some time to set up but once you have a good loop going you have taken the grind away and can just hop in and dork around with your friends on the fun shit.
