It definitely wasn't the first CoF on the server but it was HL's first CoF and I'm sure it went for $1200 or so the rumours at the time indicated. This was during Kunark.

Don't forget Ratskeller's mysterious "I'm leaving" jaunt where he sold the entire guildbank.

I think the issue with Ratskeller was he sold his character immediately after getting keyed for Time. He was waiting to get keyed to drive the value of his character up.

The funny thing is he tried to do mitigate the damage to his name/rep through all sorts of sob stories and diffusions.

I had a monk then and wanted to be a main puller but I was about 14th on the depth chart.

Hawk Lords fell apart when one of the officers, Icesomething sold his cloak of flames on ebay and Azor got pissed. If I remeber correctly, all loot was considered guild loot and was basically loaned to the player. Icewind or whatever got the first CoF off a successful Naggy kill and promptly sold it. Ah man those were good times.
Azor did flip out though and I think he kinda melted down mentally as well after that whole thing I remember talking to him and most conversations were very, very strange after that incident. I only remember it vividly because my brother was a officer in HL (and onwards to BG as well) most of the officers and decent players then went onto form Bloodsguard which funnily enough was led by ratskeller as well :P (funny how that name crops up allot) until the gutted the guild after moving to TR and taking half the officer core with him and the other half buggering off to AB server because they were EU based.

Ah the good old drama-CT days, I miss those good old days.

Yeah, I could see how he would have been pretty upset about it at the time. That shit totally caught him off guard. that being his right hand man and all. I spoke with Azor a few times after it all fell apart as I was given a fungi tunic during a seb raid and asked him if he wanted it back. He was very sombre for some time and then just disappeared.

Ratskeller was a case where anyone with any insight could see through his childlike attention whoring ways and saw him for a fraud but for whatever reason, others would trust him and put him in a position of responsibility and leadership. I could never understand that.

At least your GM didn't sell off your guild bank in order to cyber those two fake lesbians, what's their names. The enchanter and wizard. I just remember like him and 40 other people showing up for their 'wedding' in the Karana's and said GM asking me to give up my Ancient Cyclops camp so they could camp it instead.

haha before Raid XP doing sleepers tomb those huge ice sentrys were amazing XP, usually the top group got the XP so my group decided to memblur at like 2% and Burn it hoping to get the xp. Sometimes the rangers or rog woud snap aggro with a crit or high BS after the blur and die. Good times.

Yeah the Herzog incident was pretty infamous. The dude who bought him ended up running him into walls at the entrance in Lguk or some jazz. I wonder if anyone still has that screenshot.

Pre Kunark you could sell a 50 warrior with full lustrous russet+rubicite (this stuff was hot back then, even without stats), bloodboil, monsoon, and 2 yaks for 5 grand.

I remember when some mangina necro quit FoH and was quickly banned on the forums after Furor flamed him. Was a pretty funny thread I think.

Herzog was lulz - I think the first person to buy him cought on to it etc- hence the afk running into walls, leading fear raids into oblivion etc

He was a revolving door of e-bayness for a long time- I remeber a exp group in like karnors or some shit was LFG a tank (healer could not keep my SKness self alive) and Herzog was LFG shouting in the zone- I told the group no, and if they did I would galdly watch them all die while FD and lol-ing at them- and I did, and it was amuseing.

A lot of the old threads got deleted back when FoH got all fucked up a few years ago. I remember some of the threads in Hall of Shame that just disappeared after FoH returned to normal.

The Moonaxe Redblade thread comes to mind offhand. That was my favorite thread ever.
