The Hate rumour I always remembered was that there was a portal to hate on the tower in Nro with all the spectres. -Used to be able to put shit in forges and such that was no drop, then someone else could open the forge and take it out. -Monks could disarm no drop weapons, like the Discord stick. they could also do this while feigned, so just fd and spam disarm till you got the staff. Just giving a mob a moss covered twig, or a jm or whatever would be bad news back then. I thought for a period the proc on the wep would work on the player and that could be advantageous. Favorite dick head exploit? - going to freeport or something with a newbie area and giving rats the -35 hp tunic. At some point they patched in this newbie friendly thing where even as a newbie you respawned with your gear. So newbie puts on -35 hp tunic he got off a rat, and dies instantly, then respawns automatically with the gear on and gets stuck in a death loop. | We bawlin boi! | Second floor of hate was definitely real and had lots of shit there. Zone crashed and me and 3 other guildmates got ported up there somehow and assraped. Our GM (Hideaki, who owned) showed up, rezzed us and we were getting mobbed by tons of shit as he was frantically DTing everything that got near us. Was pretty funny. Cazic Thule was fearable and kitable early on, which was also quite ironic. Already mentioned it in the other thread about spawning tons of giants with the bracer of benevolence quest in WW and training them all on Sontalak. CT was exploitable as fuck at release, I'm sure Cybsled remembers Warmac sitting on top of the CT temple 24/7 killing shit with arrows that couldn't touch him for tons of levels (god he was such a douche). Necros could pull all the mobs in icewell keep to the door and fd, with dots on them and they would get stuck and sit there and die. One of our necros abused the shit out of this for armor drops + insane xp. One of the LoS enchanters charmed Sirran the Lunatic early on in PoA, and we pulled shit down to his island where he would rape stuff in 2 seconds. There was also a bug where he charmed one of our monks there who went linkdead and could use /sit commands with him and shit, it was really funny. Was also a rumor that the green plate armor monks could wear in beta (along with rubicite) was hidden somewhere in the game like the fear portal was. Lake rathe the dogdog shaman pets (fromt he underwater goblins) would endlessly spawn and path to the zone(you would see huge trains of 20+ of them) and you could sit in 1 spot all day getting crazy exp from them (better than the enchanter pet one mentioned earlier), we leveled from 20-30 on Nameless in a matter of hours abusing that one when the server opened. Necros of course being able to charm undead and fd solo the ghoul lord was always fun, people would bitch at my necro on CT for soloing the camp before I left . You could also equip the necro pet with fs weapons and fd and go to bed in guk afk, wake up like 3 to 4 levels higher since the pet just assraped everything (fd didnt kill your pet and you got full xp even if the pet did 100% dmg). I remember my lvl 49 pet destroying every 50 warrior on CT in duels, and the pet would have like 95% hp when it was over. Fucking things hit as hard as the level 65 pets did in PoP back before they nerfed all that shit.

| Stop running back to old times | I remember hearing about dropping shit on top of the lil house in CB opening and closing the door and have it dupe it's self. Pretty sure this was never true, had something to do w/ the chimney. There were a ton of respawn/xp bugs all over Norrath when the game first launched. I'm sure a lot of people kept some a bit more to them selves. |

| the only exploits that i ever used where a couple places where you were immune. 1.) in the savant room in Lguk, you could stand on a pot and you could not be attacked. 2.) In Freeport, at the monk guild, if you stood on the 2nd floor balcony you could not be hit by any mobs, so you could kill the guild masters without any danger...had the GM show up on me for that one. |

+1 Internets | Anyone remember the High Hold Keep bug upstairs? You could pull the mobs to that room and they could not cross the entrance, they would sit there while you sat in the corner nuking / dotting them to death. Got many a level there. Oh, and on Test server when they first introduced the premade lvl 25 chars, the Mage had Servant of Rob(I think, the AA that makes that dragon that fires shit) as a castable 2 mana spell that you could chain. |

| My friend had the weirdest exploit where he could spawn the frenzied ghoul in lower guk an unlimited amount of times. Which we officially dubbed it "The Frenzy Ritual", and adapt it to real life things til this day. The sploit itself involved my friend some how making specific movements in the frenzy room (like strafing on the fountain, jumping on in, then inside of it, and popping through a certain part on the other side) in order to make the frenzied ghoul spawn. There were multiple times where the 3 spawn in the room was 3 frenzied ghouls. Sadly, we've reformatted our computers at one point or another and lost the screenshot of it in the process :/ He had a GM following him for a week after someone in his group started /shouting about it one day. |

+23 Internets | In west freeport, you could jump up on the city walls pretty easily in some places. If you aggroed npcs/guards then did that, eventually they would warp on you and instantly suicide. So if you attacked lucan and made a big guard train then jumped on the wall the militia would all warp to you and die instantly. I used it a few times to kill all the npcs in west freeport and a friend called me Hitler. the biggest sploit i found was that summoning a horse when you had bad framerate (say because you were in a raid, or you spammed a conjure item) would give you literally like 300 frames per second with instant stop/start horses. Some weird windows bug. Never was able to figure out why it worked. But it made raids go from 100% unplayable to playable. It got patched eventually. |

| I was sitting in plane of fear shortly after Kunark release bored as hell as we were clearing. I figured out that I was able to stack my personal magician buffs by using a high level mage buff and then using the lowest rank mage buff(which stacked but was pointless to stack) and over writing the lower level buff with another higher level buff. After experimenting for about two weeks with various buffs and bard songs I was able to write up a report for my guild on buff stacking. I don't know if I was the first but about 2 months after I posted on my guild forums a lot of people on various servers were stacking damage shield buffs to kill stuff really fast.

| I used a ton of exploits leveling up to 50 on my first character, a druid. The cliffs near the entrance in High Hold Keep, could nuke guards below. Same for the door bug upstairs. Exploiting the dwarf guards at docks in Butcherblock Mountains. Did 40-50 exploiting guards in Freeport. All essentially the same bug ![]() |

| Only sploit I ever used was to stand behind certain NPCs and attack to raise weapons skills, and they wouldn't fight back. There was the clockwork merchant in Steamfont, and a few others that I can't remember. Also don't know how many people I locked in places, on my rogue... Just remembered that I watched a wizard sploit Gorenaire, once. Somehow kited him to the top of a tree. Would sit there and nuke the dragon forever, eventually got it soloed down. Think the guy got banned for sploiting. Last edited by Troll; 08-10-2008 at 08:21 PM.. |

+57 Internets | When Kunark was launched, I was messing around on my alt, and came across some fish floating in mid-air in Lake of Ill Omen. They were ~level 25. They didn't fight back. Gained a level or two while waiting for a Guide to show to witness for my petition.
