There was that NPC in Qeynos that would Complete heal you for like 4 gold. That + manastone + lvl 50 guild masters = lvl 58 on day 2 of Kunark going live. Gravity Flux was a wizards best friend as well. Wish I had kept screenshots of all the area's I got into. Amon Ra got banned on CT I think for abusing that and Karnor's Castle. Farming Cyndrela or whatever that chick outside of fear was always fun. She'd spawn, start buffing herself, you wait 4 seconds, cast ice comet, comet would land just as she started summoning her pet, you could get another ice comet off before the pet spawned. 99% of the time, dead chick. Then you go jerk off for 5 minutes. I think I still have my two egg timers from timing the Beholders that dropped the PBB's in Gorge of King Xorbb. So many pathing sploits in that room. Was blissful. Though to be honest, I don't think there was a zone in the game that didn't have pathing sploits worth abusing. Acrylia caverns was another one. Was a spot at the base of the ramp leading to ring of fire event where mobs would just stand still. Used to pull like 30 mobs to that spot then AE them down. <3 Not necessarily an exploit but Necromancers could get into the tongue event in plane of torment solo, then farm the dudes in there for blood of torment which could be used to make the shackles which were the only DoT focus item in the game outside of raid bosses. I think I made something like 10 million plat selling those since I was the only one on our server that knew how to get in there. Sold the 'secret' to some other necro when I quit for 100 bucks even though it was posted on the necro forums. <3 Early on you could kill yourself, delete your character, then make a new character with the same name and go loot all the shit off your old corpse. Only zone crash exploit I knew about was where if you dueled someone and then pulled the plug while running into a zone line it would crash the zone. Or something to that effect. I do remember however when you could force yourself to go "LD" and then put the cable back in before you dropped connection. When you reconnected you'd be in your new spot. Could skip large amounts of shit that way. If you visually lagged the shit out of yourself when summoning your mount you'd get a mount with no speed up/slow down effect, just instant max speed. <3 Abusing afk people with DMF. Used to push people into the arena all the time from the bazaar and kill them when it was at the 500 person limit. Used to drown afk people in plane of tranquility that way as well.

+2 Internets | You could make a certain arrow with Fletching made with components bought from NPCs and the finished arrow would sell(to the NPC) for more than the components cost. I had macroquest set up with a script to buy components and make arrows and sell them back while I was asleep. Only used it for a little while and made a couple of hundred k. A friend had 2-3 accounts set up and running this thing and made lots and lots of plat. |

Also if you sat up and down a lot in the icewall in Velks eventually you'd clip in just enough to aggro the entire palace area which would train to entrance and kill everyone.

| I started playing on the 3rd day of release. The first toon I rolled was a human necro with all my points put in strength (yea, total nub). I was in the Qeynos aquaducts and when I went to summon my pet, bam! I summoned Bait Masterson as my pet! He would kill shit in a hurry, but being a dumb nub I thought I'd speed things up by helping him melee. Well, I died and lost him, although I did end up summoning him one more time that day, but nothing after that. I leveled to 10 awful quick but dropped the necro and rolled a troll shaman. good times, full of mystery cause no one knew what the hell was going on in that game. |

| Bards always seemed to be on the cutting edge of cheating. What was the deal with castable damage shield items and bards? They ignored stacking rules so could make crazy high DS's with them or something. Also what was the trick with Fading Memories and bard pulling? Our bards would pull the stone ring in PoE, they'd aggro a huge clump, fade then pull again and only a single would come. |

Doing trivia events and coming up with arcane riddles (obscure references to raid bosses) was a nice way to vent. We were usually GM-buffed so we could gib people who got it wrong; watching everyone try to get people to not try to kill us was the major lolz of being a Guide. Took the little gaggle of players I accured about 30 minutes to get the vague lore reference to (I think it was) Trakanon once. Was as fun as harassing the raid guilds on Vazaelle when they wiped in the non-forbidden ("CS Restricted") zones though. I seem to recall giving Quarken and several others a hard time about The Itraer Vius. ![]() Last edited by Nehrak; 08-12-2008 at 11:26 AM..

| One of the fingers that dropped in Kurn's Castle (the tower by FoB) or whatever it was called would crash zones when linked in chat. Something to do with it having too many " since it said "2"Finger". Of course at the time resetting a zone = new boss. I passed this info along to the local super guild and they went on a farm spree for like 3 days before it was fixed iirc. |

+9 Internets | When EQ first came out you could loot all player corpses on the pvp server even if you didn't kill them, including all their items. You would watch someone die by a large bat and see about five players jump all over the corpse. One way to scout a zone was by having someone log into your account while you were online. That game didn't give any warnings and would just let you roam around the zone seeing all the mobs up. It was a good way to scout for bosses since the trick wouldn't show roaming mobs, only stationary ones. Myself and a few friends were playing on the test server for a while. One of my friends loved to spam in chat with all the languages he knows. He wasn't trying to level our skills, just annoy the fuck out of us by saying "Fuck You" in his 50 something languages all at once. I put his ass on ignore so he decides to spam emotes which at the time of the patch build would cause you to go LD. We found out that ignore was bugged in this patch so we sent out a petition to Blizzar... I mean EQ devs. The devs ignore the bugged and it went live anyway. The days that followed after the patch were my friends logging on trying to get on peoples ignore list only to follow them doing /fart emotes while they were fighting bosses. Get a entire raid to ignore you and do a /burp emote... 50 plus people just went LD. |

| In the timeframe slightly post release I ran into Aradune in the E. Commons tunnel. He was wearing green plate armor and had a Fiery Avenger. Supposedly there was a set of Green splint mail that Rangers could find and equip. Not sure what ever happened to that. I want to echo that if any of the old devs, or Brad, could shed light on some of the old unsolved quests it would be awesome.
