Personally, I'd say the mangina count was what raised Alliance numbers over Horde.

Hence Blood Elves on Horde side in BC. Although Draenai are still hotter.

There's a good chance that silent majority will continue playing good guys in WoW and WAR will be filled with ex-DAoC people, tabletop players and hardcore PvPers. Those will be drawn to classes with most badass looking figurines or most imba abilities.

Yes, and not only are the starting area's unique to your race your entire 1-40 experience if you so choose can be in your racial lands fighting your most hated racial foe.

I'll probably be mostly Disorder, especially Chaos, as I've played Chaos in pretty much every game GW has ever put out at one time or another. That said, Black Orcs...I must roll one. I'm actually dreading that I might roll a Chaos char and end up being disappointed.

As for Order vs Disorder I dunno. Most of our group that plays the tabletop games (15+) want to mirror their tabletop army, and that has set us up for some arguments. In other MMOs we just picked a faction and all went to the same place. Now, we are looking at having people all split up to play different races.

I do know several women who play MMOs, who are coming from WoW/DaoC/FF. I think every single one wants to go Order. They want the Good, the Happy, the Just...it is all somewhat frustrating. I cannot bring Warhammer up to them w/o them trying to make me promise to go Order.

Of all the groups of people I know, the women are the only one that is making a beeline towards Order.

True. I couldn't even get my girlfriend to try out Horde in WoW because even the blood elves were essentially demonic magic addicts.

The thing is, underdog is nice in WoW because it just means you'll always have easy access to fights. In DAOC, underdog meant you never/rarely got Darkness Falls or Relic bonuses. In WAR, I assume it will also lead to Order's convenient cities falling like a card house constantly, leaving them with shitty backup hovels.

Yeah lets hope they put a counter in place that lets all see what % of players are rolling. Hell make it real time like in Planetside and give a bonus to the side that as fewer players.

Well, this poll is a bit skewed since in the percentage people not interested in WAR are included. For those who've voted Order or Destruction, the percentages as of this time are:

Order: 23.55% (61)
Destruction: 76.45% (198)

Nearly 3:1 Destruction:Order ratio, talk about imba!
