I imagine this is going to be very successful for Bliz(what the hell isn't at this point?). This got me to buy a battlechest and start a new account off my current account. And I really had zero interest in having a second account before this. Gahh.

Got home from work last night to test my instance leveling theory. Forgot that you cant get into RFC until lvl 8 so I had to hearth to the starter zone and quest with the two lowbies until level 8. Hitting 8 + 2 runs to org took a total of an hour. Picked up the quest right outside of RFC for tarags heart cleared the instance 3 times got some loot, turned in quest and ran to Xroads by the end of hour two by which I was lvl 13.5 on each. At xroads got the forbidden pools quest line, spores, kill quillboars. Forgot that Id have to run to TB to get the follow up so I climbed up the mountain behind WC to get the 2 quests in the cave above, zoned in and cleared the instance then reset and cleared again. So by the end of the 3rd hour both characters were level 20 with 4 quests waiting to turn in, 4-6 blues and no skills. (meats to org, spores to TB, deviates killed and deviate hides all yielding triple xp.)

All the instance runs are and will be done by a rogue since I dont have access to a lvl 70 pally or mage. All talent points went to defense abilities ie def skill/armor for the warrior, imp shield and frost nova for mage.

best method of getting this on an odd number of accounts would be?
Im picking a new account up for the mount on my main.. and then im going to box 2 alts, problem is, my girlfriend wants to do this as well but her Macbook cant handle 2boxing.. SO shes gonna get 2 just for the mount and triple XP. She would be leveling on the original account of hers, while i would be using both

Would doing the following work?

My main account recruits her new account.. then she recruits my new account? Im confusing myself on this, but would that allow us 3 to party together with all 3 chars obtaining triple XP?

***fuuuck, i may have to 3box this if i want us to level together T_T while giving both main accounts the zebra mount

They said there's no restriction for recruits, you can just recruit yourself as many account as you want(limit being 5 at the same time until you pay for them or something I think). If you want 2 zehbras, just recruit an account on each, but you don't have to cross recruit or whatever.

Ah I see your problem, yeah I guess you'd need to have it in the group at least. Well with a good comp you can run 3wow easily. Some people 5box with just one pc. I'm gonna 5box with 2pcs myself, so one will have 3clients, works fine, it's just a bit gay when you zone in/out on all of them at the same time.

I 5 box on one PC with a c2duo at 2.4 ghz, 3gb of RAM (xp only sees 3gb), a 8800GT, and 3 monitors. Get keyclone and use the pip/maximizer function to split all the windows. Write some macros to /follow the main. Keyclone has a nice feature of "pausing" key broadcasting, or "broadcast all". So what I did is set keyclone to not pass the movement keys (WASDQE), left the default do-not-broadcast key to PAUSE, added shift-PAUSE as "broadcast all". My F key on every character is bound to the macro that follows the main, and is blank on my main. So whenever I lose anyone I just backtrack, hit F, and everyone follows again. When I am instance boosting I pause broadcasting, just leave the alts parked at the entrance, and every 10 mins unpause, jump, and pause again (to prevent them going AFK). Set loot to master loot, pass, and you can just dole out the greens/blues to your alts (the first few instance runs I FFA it and pick up all the cloth and shit on my main so the alts can level first aid, but looting tends to be a HUGE time sink).

I get ~20fps on my main if I leave all windows open. BUT one nice trick is you can minimize your alt windows, they still get all the key presses but nothing renders on screen so it boosts your main FPS heavily - i go from 20 fps to over 80fps.

There are a lot of powerful features in keyclone (including mutating the keys sent, etc) and combined with a G15 keyboard there is a lot of crazy ass shit you can do. Some of it probably could get your account banned so be careful

Yeah I have my F key bound to a macro that does /follow and /assist. So I just click that button once and they both follow me and assist me onto the next target.

With keyclone, do you have to press a button the keyboard in order to broadcast that to the other clients? Clicking on a skill with a mouse seems to only make it work with the main client, as it doesnt do anything on the other one's. Sorta limits what spells the party can do if you can only use the keyboard to do them

from what i saw fucking around with keyclone for a couple hours is yes it has to be a direct keypress from the keyboard, mouses dont effect the boxed windows at all

I could be mistaken though as i didnt do any passing or editing of keyclone at all, i just used defaults.

yeah keyclone, as the name implies, only clones ... keys. go into the setup and the do-not-pass list, you can add all the movement keys (WASDQE tab up/left/right/down slash enter etc) there. Also go into the override settings and set keys to OVERRIDE HOTKEY and OVERRIDE DO-NOT-PASS (mine are set to PAUSE and LSHIFT+PAUSE), that lets you press pause to NOT broadcast your keys, and shift-pause to always broadcast everything, ignoring the do-not-pass list (good for logging in, if the password is the same on all your accounts).

You can set up the wow's in the setup / command editor, and that way attach usernames and min/max fps to each one. For example I have 15 fps as my min and 75 fps as my max on all. I also use the region stuff (maximizer) to strip borders and use the PIP features. I also used the junction feature of XP (think you need a 3d party tool to enable it) to have only 1 real wow directory and 5 clone directories, that way I save a ton of disk space and whenever I do UI updates all of them get it automatically. here is my wow directory creator, its pretty complicated stuff but you can learn more at the multiboxing forums

Easiest thing to do with keyclone, is make a white list, instead of a black list, and only allow the things you want to go through. Namely 1234567 ect...maybe something else for invite and setting focus and auto following. But WHITE LIST is the way to go

Oh and some advice on that, set up the Alts, with the arrows key to just turn them, it will save you alot of grief if a mob getings into your guys, or you pvp.

Keyclone sounded nice, but considering you have to pay for each computer, it seems a bit of a ripoff since there's free stuff pretty much doing the same thing.
Multiboxing looks rather easy on a basic level anyway, the most annoying part seems the whole quest acepting shit(because of quests that can't be shared mostly). I've dual boxed my fury war and resto druid in arenas and 5mans such as black morass, it seems much harder than what I'm gonna do with 5chars. With 2 you actually have to play both, with 5 you just press consecrate/judge/holy shield macro on a protadin, heal on whatever healer, and nuke on all 3 other chars, and everything just dies 1by1 easily.
