For those interested:

Alliance PL with a 70 Prot pally times:

# Time /played (1 run 20-21): 4 hours 30 minutes at level 21 - quest to 10, DM to 15, Stocks to 20.

SM Cath starting at 20:
# Time /played at level 30: 6 hours
# Time /played at level 35: 7.5 hours

This is with two people, one playing the pally, the other controlling 4 linked alts.

BestBuy and Amazon are both selling the wow battlechest for $30 btw. Gets you 40 days on a new account and 30 days on your existing account with RAF, plus all the RAF benefits. I'm gonna pick up 2-3 more battlechests tomorrow I think and move 2-3 of my new 60s to them when their sub runs out in 2 weeks, not sure if a xfer'd 60 can "grant" levels or not. *edit nm just read that only levels you create while under RAF can be gifted, if you xfer a 60 or 70 to a new account they wont have any levels to gift away.

Also just bought some more activision/blizzard stock today (new symbol ATVI), the stock has gone down a bit the last week but imo next year is gonna be insane with wotlk, sc2, d3, and all the guitar hero shit activision does. hopefully a few thousand shares will pay for all these multiboxing expenses

just a quick question about instance boosting

I dont have a prot pally or a warlock or mage, I do have a war and shaman on different accounts. Can I just round up everything and kill like that without crippling the XP using 2 70s and 3 newbies?

the 2nd 70 is gonna kill your exp I bet, plus I can't imagine it'll make it much faster for you.



If your warrior is well geared, try that.

If you have a healer in the newbies, respec fury with the war, try to get some decent 1h and you'll rape instances, as long as you can provide a bit of healing to reduce downtime. It only gets tough in lvl 60 instances, but everything else is very easy with a fury war since they AE pretty fucking well. Don't need the shaman unless you want to keep doing it in strat/scholo and outlands instances. There will be a "hole" during these levels, until you reach zangarmarsh stuff at which point mobs should be green for the 70s, and xp will be almost the same as if you had 5ppl of the same level.

I duoed up to blackmorass with a few bosses in other 70s 5man with my resto druid and my fury war alone(resto druid using PMC, S3 jewelry and a few T5-T6 stuff, furywar using S1 gear/weapons and badge fury gear), so with 3 newbs providing buffs or what not, you could easily run 5mans until 70. Unless your gear really sucks ^^.

Thanks for the quick responses, its seems the FAQ on the wow forums answered the question for me

Let's say we have Account A with a level 70 character, Account B with a level 1 character and Account C with another level 1 character, all three characters are grouped. Account B and Account C are linked, will they receive triple experience?

Bonus experience should only be granted if the experience is not trivial to anyone in the group. Our Quality Assurance Team is looking into reports that some of these restrictions are not consistent and hope to resolve the issue soon.

Also, can someone check if my logic is right on this..
4 Accounts, A B C D
A and B are preexisting, C and D are RAF(Recruit a friend)
I link A and C
I link B and D
I group A B C D together as new characters, everyone gets 3X xp

but if I use the 70 as A then C does not get 3X xp.

So there is no way I can get 3X xp and use a 70 to boost?

That sounds contrary to what some people in this thread have said. If that is true, then the only way to boost with a 70 would be if he were outside of the group, ie in a support, non-damaging role.
