Mount/noncombat pets in Lich king

from the forums just a few minutes ago- figure to make its own spot instead of cluttering up the class discussion stuff in beta post

We’re pleased to announce a convenient upgrade to the way that mounts and vanity pets are handled in Wrath of the Lich King.

Players will be able to “learn” a mount or non-combat pet much like learning a spell, recipe, or new ability, and these creatures will then show up on a new Pet tab within the Character Info section of the interface. Players will be able to access and preview their learned mounts and vanity pets through this tab.

Once learned, the pet icon or mount icon will no longer appear in bag spaces or bank spaces. This inventory space will be made available once again for other adventuring needs. Pets can still be set to hotkeys by dragging them to the hotkey bar, much like any other spell or ability.

what this means is once lich king goes live put all your mounts and noncombat pets into your inventory, right click on them and you "learn" them and they go onto the pet tab...and do not take up inventory space, my wife is going to be estatic..she has well over 30 noncombat pets

Better to clutter the post than the forum I'd think. This isn't exactly something that promotes a ton of discussion is it?

I want to learn all of my AQ mounts.

They should do something like this with armor too for people who have to carry around 3 different sets of gear.

HOLY SHIT!

seriously best idea ever. I've always thought a Pokemon MMORPG would be amazing, this could be the next best thing, doing quests and getting some of the rare/unique pets and duel others.

I love it.

Dont they basically have this in a simple form that no one ever fucking uses anyway? Those Tonka truck things.

Pet Arena Ladder? Assemble your 5 pet team. 2000+ end of season gets seasonal unique pet.
