| Tomorrow is going to be a nightmare - giant patch day, probably long extended downtimes. Mods all going to break, and mod sites will go down. To top it off, I think the Halloween stuff starts tomorrow as well, so not only dealing with everyone respecing, not having mods, not understanding inscription/glyphs, but also everyone in one zone PVPing and doing Scarlet Mon. Should be fun, lol |

+67 Internets | I'd probably drop swift retribution and some points in divine strength to pick up eye for an eye/vindication and pursuit of justice in that case. I wouldn't really know, I absolutely detest arena and what it's done to the game so I refuse to participate. |

| Fixed ret spec: http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?pala...00000000000000 For PvE purposes yeah Divine Purpose is nice, but this is a pure dps build. At 80 if I went ret I'd pick up (in addition to the above spec) Pursuit of Justice 2/2, Divine Purpose 2/2, and 5/5 BoKings. Have a holy paladin spec into both Imp Wis and Might. Holy with that spec + ret with this spec + prot paladin covers all 4 blessings.

| Was there an official confirmation of 3.0 being tomorrow? I know I saw S4 ends tomorrow and everyone assumed 3.0 would also be live but was there an official blue statement? Maybe I just missed it? In regards to mods, I am not a heavy mod users, but all mods I used on live, worked fine in beta if I just load out of date mods.

| PvP (Arena) Ret for 3.0; http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?pala...00000000000000 With the new dispel mechanic 2/3 Sanctified Seals + Stoicism protects your other buffs and keeps your seal 19 out of every 20 times. Fanaticism helps for more Art of War procs. Some choices are not set in stone; it really depends on how much damage you're willing to trade off for survivability. |

| As a casual player, I am one of those who is trying to figure out what alt to level in what order. I will be leveling a Death Knight first and foremost, as I have been excited about an avoidance tank since my Monk days in EQ. I will have Enchanting as a prof, but I have no idea what other to take. Perhaps Mining? I have no Herbalist, and I will have to sustain my Alchemy on my Priest some how. /sigh. Other than that...I cannot decide if I should level my Priest or Shaman after my DK. I enjoy healing when not tanking, and on Kel'Thuzad Horde side, Tanks are in high demand followed by Healers. Any beta folk...how large is the disparity between Priest and Shaman healing? Huge difference, or not too bad? |

| Shaman are ahead I'd say, I am not some heavy theorycrafter, just saying from having raided with both, both get the job done though. Riptide is pure own though a 6 second cd instant heal (and doesn't consume hots!) is really sweet.

| Was just on test server trying to decide between leveling my pally that I finally got to 70 or my warr that has been 70 for a very long time. My problem with warr on live servers was tanking multiples while doable was just plain annoying. On test I ran a couple instances as both an 80 prot warr and and 80 prot pally and I found that it was a piece of cake with both to hold aggro on groups of mobs and it wasn't so damn annoying to do it on the warrior anymore. A combination of Improved Thunder Claps, Demo Shout, Cleaves, and Shockwaves held aggro pretty well on packs of mobs while spamming devastates on the main target to hold unbreakable aggro there. On the Pally I held aggro well also but I found the lack of having an interrupt other than stun a bit annoying with all the spellcasters I ran into in the couple instances I did. Other than that the pally did a good job of soaking up dmg althought just from the feel of it it seemed I took more dmg as a pally. I'm not sure if that has to do with the difference between critical block and holy shield. It would seem to me that a warrior will block for more on each block but the pally would block more often probably evening out the numbers. Just from a feel perspective and no parsing it felt like my warrior was more sturdy. Keep in mind this is with the pvp beta buffed characters on test which have poor tanking gear. (But tons of stamina). I also did some limited damage meter work using Recount. This was all in org against one of the level 80 targeting dummies. On the warr I managed about 600 dps as prot spec, 1100 as fury with titan's grip, and 1050 as full arms with a few points in fury. On the Pally I managed about 1000 dps as Prot, and 1500 as ret. Just so you guys have something to compare to my frost mage averaged 1500 dps, while my enhance shaman did about 1400 and my elemental shaman 1200. I think against a regular mob the prot pally would actually come out ahead of the prot warr because of the extra dmg from the blocks of holy shield. I'm not real sure how much the numbers would be skewed by having true pve gear rather than the pvp stuff the characters start with on beta. Edit: Came back and changed my numbers cause I noticed I was retarded and was fighting a level 60 dummy on the warrior tests. Also the Pally numbers are skewed because the level 80 test dummies are 2 right next to each other and therefore all your ae abilities hit them both every time. I don't have time now but I'll try later to do the test against the ?? boss dummy and see how my characters stand since that one is far away enough from the others to only get single target dmg. Duh! | Dummy testing is a pretty poor indicator unless you are testing at 2am when no one else is around. The debuffs on the dummy make a big impact to your personal dps. Plus the dummy has low armor and is only level 70. All in all it won't be the same once 3.0 hits live and you start raiding. |
