| He's the generic dipshit who joins an end game raiding guild when they have everything on farm status, then thinks he's hotshit because he now have super purples. He did it twice now, vanilla and TBC. Do you exect him to min-max to the teeth? He's just a coattail rider. Moving on. |

| Registered User | Important question! I know they are making potions and procs work in feral forms. Are the new engineering items going to work in forms as well? I was going to drop engineering on my druid since I really don't use anything from the profession. However, if I can belch rockets out of my bear's mouth, I'll have no choice but to keep it. |

| So I was on PTR and... ![]() No gear on and no buffs, so that's my base mana pool. Am I missed something or should I be getting 332 more mana back than that?

| Nope, not a single talent I have as ret that changes my mana pool one bit. Edit -- Talents I'm using on PTR: http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?pala...00000000000000

| Just did it again to double check, still got 974 mana back even though I was at a 4000 mana deficit (cast consecration and spammed my SoCom button to get myself low). Something is fucked, it's giving back closer to 25% mana than 33%.

| Base mana - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft base mana is w/o int (i assume you have some gear on with int), it says base mana is 2951 for 70 pallys and 4394 for 80 pallys. So that number is right. thats pretty crazy though, you get back 1k mana every time you judge? nice. i assume all pallies get that, i think im gonna keep my pally prot for tanking but man ret seems nice too. |

| Guess my understanding of base mana was off, woops. Assumed it was whatever you had without gear, talents, and buffs. Not including int in there is pretty shitty. ![]()

+67 Internets | Ah, you're only level 70 then? That makes more sense. If you don't include consecration in the dps cycle it's close to maintainable once you factor in regen from JoW proc's, BoW and whatnot. In fact there was a pretty big thread awhile back on the paladin about asking for a dps alternative to consecrate. It's 100~170 dps for a -massive- mana commitment. Great when you can use it but on any long distance fights increadibly iffy. A glyph similar to the Avengers Shield glyph for protadin's was the 'best' idea I saw. Would reduce the mana cost of consecrate significantly but make it so that it could only hit one target at a time or something. |

You must subtract 15 mana for every int you have (yes you indeed have some base int even naked) and that will be your base mana. Paladins base mana is 2953 according to wiki ( dont have one to prove it myself) but when you divide 2953 by 33% you get...wait for it...wait for it...974.49, rounded 974 which is eactly how much mana it returned.
