Damn I'm so retarded some times. Go to the shop, buy game, come back home, remember I have 3 accounts and needed 3 games. Have to go back

As expected however, all the small video games shops here sell it today.

So much for getting my mining skill maxed before release tonight. Damn servers are down again and the downtime is extended with no ETA because of more Blizzard retardation. By the time they come back up I'll have to go to work and won't get out until midnight. That's what I get for waiting until the last couple days to decide on a couple professions for my paladin.

I can't believe people thought they wouldn't be doing a rollback/removing all those items after this epic fuck up by Blizzard.

We got all this shit for free it's their fault! They can't correct it no way its just not fair!

Where have you been reading all this? The forums? They've been down for me for a day or so now. Anyhow, seeing as the servers have pretty much been down for over 24 hours, I may hold off on getting WotLK. If this is any indication of how the launch is gonna go, I want no part of it. Waiting a week or two isn't that much of a big deal.

This is why I'm not worried about playing tonight or tomorrow. I'll be playing more often on Monday and Tuesday. I may even take off on Monday since I have a ton of vacation days to use and no vacations planned for the rest of the year.

That's where I'm getting my information.

Welcome to MMO release days. Please enjoy your stay. I see this is your first time, can I get you anything? Maybe a redbox rental, or a nice dinner with the family?

Seriously...more crying about fucking release days and not being able to play. This happens with every fucking MMO and every fucking expansion every fucking time. Get used to it and get the fuck over it.

I'm assuming you missed the part where he said "That's what I get for waiting..."

Nice rant though.

Holy fuck. Now there is " a database issue" which is resulting in even more down time. Out of all the aspiring IT professionals we managed to pick the ones that just got by with d's and or used to be " that guy that knows about computers" Sorry for our ineptitude there is no real eta, but we will tell you that again in another hour.

TBC release was smooth as goddamn silk. That shit set the bar for seamless. This is an embarrassment. The only difference between pre 2.0 and post 2.0 was all the goddamn felguards you saw everywhere. The servers were fine and dandy.

Shit happens.

I say they do a full game wipe and every server and every person has to start from scratch.

Yes because we know blizzard only hires terrible and worthless IT people just to see if they can overcome it with CGI and Tigole posts! I've seen far more important and critical systems than this have much worse downtimes with no ETA, and nobody died from those either!

TL;DR version: Cheer up, emo kid!

At this point draegan based on the past 24 hours in attempting to do that they would delete the entire wow source code along with any and all saved backups.

The log in screen would say.

Nov 12

Due to a database error World of Warcraft no longer exists. Players will be unable to access any realms at this time. There is no known eta. We don't know why we charge you for this shit.

Love,
Blizzard

Bullshit. Stop apologizing because Blizzard fucked up. LOTRO, EQ2, Age of Conan, City of Heroes and more than a few other MMOs managed mostly trouble free releases/expansions, to say nothing of the smooth Burning Crusade release. It's nothing to get frantic over, but devs shouldn't get the message that this sort of crap is okay and to be expected, otherwise quality of service goes down even more.
