| They completely stopping to even try to have a lore that makes sense when they pulled the "then an aircraft crashed, and there was a new race wandering this world, keke". I thought that was lame. Then I did the quest in Nagrand and discovered the white mountain there is another aircraft that crashed after coming from god knows where. Not only was it the lamest lore ever, but they pulled it twice in the same expansion. |

+1 Internets | They did make at least some changes. The sentinels now correct themselves (badly reprogrammed) to reflect the new leadership and of course the paladins are rather annoyed at him. Not sure how complete the change was as talking to NPC's isn't that rewarding. |

+49 Internets | Some of the NPCs mention Kael is a fucktard. Like their new leader talks about Kael's betrayal, etc. AFAIK most of this happened when Sunwell went live and they removed Mu'ru.

The "space ship" known as the Tempest Keep (renamed by Kael'thas Sunstrider) is not a space ship at all, it's a nexus of energy meant to travel between dimensions, created by the Naaru, beings made of pure energy and enemies of the Burning Legion. When the Legion came to Argus, the homeworld of the Eredar, many Eredar followed Archimonde and Kil'Jaeden to join the ranks of Sargeras, but a few followed Velen instead, the enlightened prophet who led his people into exodus and escaped with the help of the Naaru, into the dimensional ship. The ship led them to a peaceful planet inhabited by primitive beings, the Orcs. The Draenei (Exiled Ones in Eredun language) lived peacefully with the shamanistic Orcs, until the Burning Legion traced them back and sent Mannoroth the Destructor to corrupt the Orcs and turn them into bloodthirsty creatures. Most of the Draenei became corrupted by the terrible experiments led by the tainted Orcs on Draenor, which eventually caused its near destruction and turned the planet into the wreckage known as Outland. The corrupted Draenei became the Broken, a mutant denegerative offshoot of the original species. But all this time, the dimensional ship was still around, and Kael'thas and his Blood Elves attempted to take over the ship, guarded only by a single Naaru, Mu'ru. Eventually, Mu'ru was captured, and the ship was taken, but not before some remaining uncorrupted Draenei attempted to retake it, eventually having to escape in a wing of the ship, the Exodar, which crashed on Azeroth. The Blood Elves tracked down the fleeing Draenei to Azeroth, and that's why there are many Sin'dorei settlements near the Exodar. Mu'ru the captured Naaru was taken to Silvermoon City, restrained by powerful warlocks and the Blood Elves drained his energy and corrupted it to bend the Light to their will, thus creating the corrupted paladins known as Blood Knights. You also learn from A'dal that Mu'ru was meant to be captured by the Blood Elves all along, as A'dal had foreseen that they would attempt to leech his energy, and A'dal was hoping that perhaps through this means Mu'ru could bring enlightenment to the Blood Elves. Mu'ru didn't have time to finish his mission in Silvermoon City and was instead "kidnapped" and taken to the Sunwell Plateau by Kael's forces. There, he became a Void God known as Entropius, but his sacrifice made Lady Liandrin, the current leader of Silvermoon City's Blood Knights, realize the errors of their ways, and they have pledged their allegiance to A'dal in Shattrath City. As for the "huge diamond" in Nagrand, Oshu'gun, it's another smaller escape pod from the Tempest Keep, which also contained a lone Naaru. This Naaru is dying however, and will soon become a Void God much like Entropius. It is explained in the current in-game lore that Naaru live cyclic lives, eventually their energy fades and they become void entities, before becoming a being of pure energy and light again, and so on. As I said, this lore is rather unusual and unexpected by many in a medieval context, but I wouldn't say it doesn't make sense. I agree though that it's not always easy to find out some of this lore, but it's all in-game.

| Oshu'gun isn't from TK. It is the castle that brought the Draenai to Draenor and unconnected to TK/A'dal afaik. Anyway people who say that the lore is fucked just make childish exagerations "OMG A SPACESHIP!". While the Draenai lore is indeed unusual, it does make sense and I'm glad that Blizzard are trying to be creative. Floating Castles arn't a big deal, and interdimensional travel is the very foundation of warcraft lore. Another retarded whine was making Metzen publicly apologise because a minor footnote in the lore was changed (Sargeras' Corruption). Yeah of course the evil Eredar are going to tell everyone that their people are all 100% on their side and no benevolent ultra powerful windchimes exist to save everyone. When the Draenai turned up, those scholars in Dalaran/Stormwind (who wrote the histories based on what they had seen and heard from the demons) got corrected. The only problem is that they don't hold your hand with the lore, the quests don't cover it all. The LORELOL people are simply too lazy to seek the information to fill in the gaps. Is it so hard to belive that someone who died for her homeland still wants to help her people? Is it so hard to belive that the elves still repsect sylvanas and revere her sacrifice? It isn't like Blood Elves working with the Horde was a surprise when they gave quests to the Horde(Stonetalon/Azshara) all though classic wow, while High Elves gave quests for the Alliance(Theramore/Stormwind). Do you people not realise that this is an ongoing unfinished storyline? It was a rather big event and is being dealt with over two expansions. We will see in Dalaran how it ends up.

| I always found it amusing that - Dimensional Travel = A-OK (Dark Portal, etc). Flying Castles = Fine! (Necropoli and so on) Flying Castle with Dimensional Travel = "lollore, spaceships, Blizz sucks" e;f, b. ![]() |

+2 Internets | This may be an odd question, but do you gain experience for turning in daily quests? A friend had the (possibly) bright idea to save up 25 quests, most of them dailies, so that when the expansion hits he could turn them all in. I don't think dailies work like that though.
