Well, in more detail it pretty much boils down to sheath of light - getting 30% of your AP as spellpower is better scaling than either prot or holy by a huge margin. ( prot get 30% stamina, and holy get jack for AP ).

It's part of what makes the approach to ret nerfs recently pretty puzzling - nerfing all seals and judgements because they are too good for ret seems a backwards sort of way of going about fixing the problem.

Well at least with the SoCom nerf I don't have any trouble deciding which to use on raids anymore. Blood all the way now no contest.

No, that's it. It's pretty significant though, as increased ISB uptime means 3% crit adds up to more than just the straight crit damage.

Raidwide, druid situationally brought imp faerie fire and insect swarm as well.

That said, if the druid was stealing a spot in the sham+spriest group from a mage you had to bring anyway, it wasn't really worth it. If you had a second sham+spriest group for the mages, it narrowly was.

How are DK's and Locks in the latest change up?

For the eejut who -ed me saying I'm sucking and dumb not knowing Shammies give +crit to 'locks, that would be the ToW I mentioned, you thick fuck; we were discussing pre 3.02 so the new increased dmg stats are a change

Beta is beyond dead, logged in prime time about 2 days ago and there were 6 level 80's on and 4 people in trade chat. I wanted to test the changes to DK's in terms of grouping and what not...oh well.

I believe the enhance shaman being more efficient stacking spellpower than AP is pretty much dead. As I understand it there used to be a huge DPS gain from using fast weapons to build up instant cast / guaranteed to crit lavablasts. Now that maelstrom weapon can not be used to instant cast lavablast and it is PPM rather than on crit the issue is moot.

The shaman class is still a bit of a mess, though enhance is quite fun.

That hasn't been effective for a number of beta builds. It was the case last month that elemental-geared enhance shaman with dual FT did some crazy dps, but now it's WF/FT with melee gear which works best.

Beta is dead ATM because people are working on achievements/etc for their mains. Plus it's pretty close to release and Bliz is holding off on major changes/content until WOTLK goes live.

A friend who has a beta account said that the beta servers aren't even online at the moment. Pretty hard to test things when they're down. (Though I'm not surprised that they would/did take them down this close to launch)

Think we'll see them up again before the 13th?

The servers are down for a patch right now. They will be back up Soon(tm).

Not that a lot of testing or discussion occurs, though.

So I've decided to go ahead and make my choice to reroll DK when the xpac hits, because I'm sick of sucking it up as a shaman. I was wondering if someone could give me a quick list of some turn in items to stock pile to get the DK going as fast as possible once I get outta the starter area? Like easy EXP turn ins and what not?

I've seen various posts about random ones but I don't want to scroll through 100s of pages to find what they are , and I'm a simple guy when it comes to WoW.. grind to 70, PvP and raid, and not worry about the small details.

You can also do the Blasted Lands grind quests, with Basilisk Brains and such.

You can do Morrowgrain and Un'Goro Soil in Thunder Bluff/Darnassus if you're doing cloth runs too.

The Oshu'gun Crystal Fragments don't bind. You can pick up ten of those from the spirit fields.

You can grab five Sanguine Hibiscus from Coilfang, really easy for a stealth class. Should be findable on the AH as well. This quest is a really good idea to prepare for, it gives 22k EXP, and you're not going to normally be doing it.

You can grab Unidentified Plant Parts for Zangarmarsh too, although you're likely to find them anyway questing there. If you're crazy you can collect ~360 of them and get the 34 AP/16 Hit shoulder enchant.


Probably a few more things, and all these aren't needed, but if you're bored, go ahead. Also it's not Dampscale Basilisk eyes but Dreadfang Venom Sacs(to nerf scryer faction and go toward Aldor, to do AFTER you did the other turn ins, need 68 so just before northrend)
