+1 Internets | Hrm. Can we assume Sony = SOE? I can't say I'm excited to really see that name pop up in any context.

+10 Internets | The options for a company looking for a location and group of experienced folks who can run MMO servers is still rather limited. Seeing someone use SOE to handle their hosting and distribution is hardly a surprise. Chalk me up as another person who will place an unacceptable amount of trust in the hands of the guy who made HOMM. |

Here's another example: South Park: ManBearPig - TV.com Go to the HoMM section at the bottom of the page.

+207 Internets | It wasn't terrible? 4 was just flat out bad. By the time your guys were powerful enough to do anything the game was over and if you became powerful enough you didn't even need creatures. Daily updates on creature building meant way too much micromanaging. Creatures having their own world movement rates, etc...etc...it was pretty obvious that HOMM4 was rushed to get out. HoMM2 was nice but wasn't meant really to be multiplayer head to head due to glaring balance issues. HoMM3 was pretty much as balanced as you could get, though you could accomplish some pretty big cheese. Nerf blind. |

| I started with MM1...MM3 was amazing, took a crazy amount of time to finish and i remember these epic quests. Seems not many will agree but i found MM6 so great for the time, even the music was awesome. I don't remember how many time i finished it but last time was like 1 year ago (along with MM7) All these memories to be crushed by a crappy MMO ![]() Edit: Quote:

+12 Internets | Holy crap I haven't thought about Sentinel Worlds in forever. Man I loved that game, even though I barely remember a fucking thing about it. I owned most every Might & Magic up until whatever the last one was, but I always hated HoMM. Maybe I just picked up a bad one to start or something (there were several out before I even tried it, because I didn't think I'd like it), but I never got into it at all. I remember enjoying King's Bounty though, so maybe I just missed out on the good version numbers. |
