| Compared to console games, I would imagine PC games don't draw as much money but seriously does this tool think that the future of MMOs lay in the Xbox360, PS3, Wii, etc?

| Not sure which part is more retarded: the free pass for Raph, the part about moving MMOs to consoles, or simply the fact that the NGE developer is talking shit in the first place. I certainly hope he's doing said shit talking safely from the sidelines outside the game industry (which is where Raph belongs too). |

If you had listened to your fanbase, maybe you and your team wouldn't have converted the few good elements of that game other than the social system into the absolute crap you bitch about. Funny your rant deals with everything you did to completely fuck over a loyal gaming fanbase. You're a fucking reformed whore of a dev with no room to talk, sir. Now GTFO of MMO design/development discussion. Dan Rubenfield, author of the MMO temperance movement. That dipshit better not ever have the balls to post here.

| Some article on Gamasutra completely ripped the whole move to consoles thing apart in response. He said there are over 198 million computers out there in used today with GeForce 5 and above Nvidia cards out there, plus similar numbers of equally powerful ATI cards. There's only 190 million PS2+PS3+Xbox 360+Wiis out there. The only reason NOT to make PC games is piracy, and that does not apply in any way to MMOs. The guy is totally right in that no one, except maybe CCP (not that I'm saying EVE is a good game by any standard of measuring actual game playability) is doing anything new at all, but his individual points are pretty retarded.

| None the less, design for console but plan for PC's. Like Mist pointed out, the market is there for non-MMO's. Stardock could give a shit about piracy, and they do damn well. But they're in the vast minority, and they don't throw money away on copy protection. I don't mind "Console-First", especially after seeing games like San Andreas, Bioshock, Mass Effect, LEGO, etc.. But this dipshit thinks they should stop trying altogether. /boggle I love GCiv/Sins, Fantasy Wars, and the slew of engine-remakes like Ultima V/VI. And I'm really looking forward to AGD's QFG 2 remake. Might want to think about hiring folks like that instead of ignoring them. But every so often there's a Chicken-Little belief that PC gaming is dead. I remember hearing that for the first time in 1992. |

| You can pirate MMO's, it's just it takes a long fucking time to get it up and running and most don't have the patience or talent to pull it off.
