| [DAoC] Origins This is definitely worth checking out. Should be a good way to spend your time before WAR/WotLK release this winter. The Camelot Herald Quote:

| Pride Never Die | So will this just contain the first two expansions or will it include that abortion called ToA? They might as well just stop now if it's going to include anything from ToA on.

+5 Internets | I missed DAoC the first time around, and I hear people going on about how awesome it was at launch all the time (and how much ToA ruined it). Probably rose colored glasses, but I would definitely check this out depending on when it's released. |

+1 Internets | Definitely interested, DAoC is still the only MMO I've played continuously for years until dirty nasty ToA/NF. The idea that WAR is also making it harder for small skirmish pvp (like 8 vs. 8 in DAoC) in favor of only large battles is making me think this might be a better choice in the end. |

| Flaccid Steel | A new server will be awesome. I played with a friend for a few months earlier this year but being a noob made us stay away. At any bracket PVP, new players will just get raped because everyone has +100 stats over us.

Anyway, this Origins sounds pretty neat but I'm not sure I'll have enough time to give it a shot. It'd be nice if it was faster XP as I remember DAOC being a bit of a grind.

| It really sounds silly. They're not EQ. You can "start over" all you want with a PvE game. But that wasn't their forte. DAoC's glory wasn't because it was Vanilla, it was because of the population and the Relic/PvP game. Dump everyone on one server and you might be able to do it. Maybe. |

+5 Internets | I love the classes in Daoc. Always thought if you couldn't find a class to enjoy in the game then it just didn't exist. The movement of Daoc is so god damn clunky it's incredibly hard to go back to it after playing any current MMO's. If it had the movement scheme of WoW or Conan (basically the same thing) it'd be much easier to go back. I hope Warhammer can recapture the RvR feeling of daoc. I'd drop any game I'm playing for that. |
