I guess every FV person leveling fast these last few days can expect a ban should they need help from any GM.

thread reminded me of my last experience with a GM (take into account I was 5 years dumber at the time.

[Sat Feb 08 18:55:16 2003] You told Kimbial, 'So wait, nowhere in the quest does it tell me Im to low, and unlike other quest where they will give you the item back if they dont want it this one chooses to EAT my item, and I can't even get a reimbursal for the item eaten'

Take an apology and skip along my way...how exactly is this CS, im receiving no support,I didnt' design this NPC's who maybe shouldnt have given me the quest to give it to me or to han dme items i shouldnt have gotten. '

edit - sucks about the epic too. I never had such a bad response. The GMs that responded to me on Tunare were consistently awesome. I even had one port my noob across the karanas during the halloween event because the high level shit would own him.

If you have a high level character of the proper class, you can level someone INSANELY fast these days, completely legitimately.

But it's nice to see that the GMs are utterly clueless as to realities of the game that they are being paid to support. The fact that I frequently see people with names like Startrek and Ifarted walking around uncontested makes more sense now.

It's completely ridiculous really. 2 days /played is a pretty modest number for a char being PLed. I know there are characters getting 75 in less time than that. Not to mention the level 1 trader bots with 100 mil plat on them, how long before they say "it's impossible to obtain that much money at that level" and ban anyone with a bot as well

Double xp + hotzone + level 80 shaman or cleric etc capable of pulling half of the entire zone at a single shot and you could level yourself up an army in less than a day.

Lol that chat with the GM is almost as bad as the chat I had with Maddoc back when progression came out regarding the Alliance spell bug and merchants being immune and him telling me that was a good thing because now merchants wouldn't attack me for no reason. Didn't they have a ruling back when epics were first introduced that they wouldn't help or refund anything in relation to the epic quests? Think a lot of people were getting their items eaten/experimenting so they wanted to avoid that and the potential scams that went with it.

It is not just Sony acting like this all CS seems to be getting this moronic. Maybe if they hired some Americans and not pseudo English speaking Pakistanis these problems would go away.

We had a guild member in WoW get his account banned several days ago since he logged in with his laptop while on the road in Bejing, and apparently the top level IP quad is the same one that is used by some Chinese gold farmers. Blizz told him that he must be running a bot or farming therefore violating the TOS and his account is banned.

Should be interesting to see how this plays out. And before anyone even implies that this guy may be lying. He is 55 y/o and as casual as you will ever find. Hell he has been playing since the game came out and his highest toon was a level 61 orc hunter with slow mount that he bought at level 59

There is a cheater log. It was activated early in Kunark, and it was instantly full. Among other things, they can see characters that move above a certain speed. The story goes that John Smedley even called one of the guy that was exploiting in Skyfire to scare him off.

That said, it's stupid to say you can't reach 70 in two days (although that does seem real fucking fast) and they don't give any argument - what program, what kind of cheat, etc.. - besides "lol cheater!"

Here's my first experience upon logging in for living legacy:

Logged in qeynos monk guild, where I logged last to say goodbye. Found out my guild's website was dead and the gm hadn't logged in in over a year. My planes/time gear surprisingly not molded.

Started running to the PoK book. Aggroed dagarok. Went linkdead outside the gates. 'Active character' for 7 minutes. Logged in at bind point.

HOW IS FUCKING ACTIVE CHARACTER NOT FIXED AFTER FUCKING 9 GOD DAMN MOTHER FUCKING YEARS YOU STUPID COCKSUCKING WORTHLESS FUCKHEADS.

Time to use my first veteran resurrection. Fuck.

It's really not. I can get a character to 50 in 10 hours or so, probably less if I'm not being a slacker, using just a couple of xp pots and twinked out of the arse. At 50 you can group with a 75 who can kill grays for you in Nadox which gives you full xp (this doesnt work for aa, only normal xp) and that can charge you along in no time. As a real example, my zerker is 78 and I got a shaman to 52. I then grouped them and in one hour using xp pots I took the shaman from 52 to 60 just by mass killing grays, it took 2 and a bit circuits of the vase room, temple etc area. That kind of power levelling is slow as fuck compared to what clerics etc can do, so 70 in 2 days is a piece of piss if you already have the right setup and gear/potions.

Well, I'm sure it will slow down at this point, but I've leveled my two boxalts to 42 in about 3 hours played if I subtract the AFKing and general not knowing shit after 4 years. With a level 70 chanter.

With an 80 character I'm convinced I could bring them to 60 within 10 hours played.
