Big Bynn predates this expansion but I'm not sure on the lore behind him. I remember a screenshot on that old EQ easter egg site that had Big bynn using the POI dragon model in western wastes and it predated POP. also in SOF the raid where you fight big bynn is even called "big bynn returns". so I'm pretty sure theres a story behind him I just have no idea what it is

Did they ever flesh out gnome tinkering in EQ1? I always thought it was cool, but there wasn't a big use for it.

So I checked this out... my characters last played in PoP. I popped in, the claims seemed pretty decent compared with the old PoP items.

Are there any zones that you can two box in right now as a 66 cleric / 61 warrior with PoP level gear for some decent AA? Before quitting I was up to duoing (two boxing) in Plane of Valor. It took a long time to kill a monster... back then my two box combo seemed like the shit, now looking at some of the stuff for sale my armor and weapons look like crap.

So is it better to grab AA's at 66 / 61, or try and level up as quick as possible in the new zones?

Level up in BoT till 71 then move elsewhere. Do not 2box with that combo without adding DPS to your group. You need to level so you can get groups more easily.

What server is this on? The only thing that kept me from going back to my rogue was the lack of groups.

Play on FV, Stromm or AB these days if you have a choice, depending on preferred ruleset and timezone.

Well I started two boxing back in the day because I had gotten sick of waiting for groups all the time. For my warrior there was such a strict dependence on gear that he simply didn't qualify for most groups; for my cleric he would be virtually pestered to join groups constantly.

My two box combo back in PoP days was enough to have my warrior tank in PoV / PoS using his truncheon to slow and then just fighting them down, with the cleric just occasionally casting CH. Worked like a charm and got massive exp this way, except back then I channeled most of it into AA's. Fights take a long time though I will admit. When you two box Warrior / Cleric you can almost perfectly time CH's. I was getting close to the point where I could box in BoT, I guess I'll just level them up though to 70 and start group hunting.

Well, I started back up on Saturday. I had a bunch of PP/exp pots left over from the last go around along with my cleric to pl myself and got to 70 in short order (FV server). Today the bazaar crashes as I was augmenting an item and when I log back on my mask is gone. I send this petition:

Today I was augmenting my mask in the bazaar when the zone crashed. Upon my return the mask and aug are both missing. I will be honest and say I don't remember the name of it at this time. If there is any way I could have that returned to me that would be great. Thank you in advance. In the mean time, I have purchased a temp mask to use and it is not the mask that went missing.

While I was looking into your missing item issue. I noticed that you achieved level 70 in 2 days. This is not possible without using a third party program to cheat and exploit. After checking in our cheaters logs, they confirmed that you did indeed exploit and cheat. Obviously, we are not replacing your missing item, and your character has been wiped and deleted and your account has been suspended for 10 days. Any further violations will lead to termination of your account.

I've never used any cheat programs, sadly have to much free time, and pl'ed myself over the course of a few days. Guess leveling too fast is an exploit. The line that cracks me up is the this is not possible in 2 days, when I know for a fact a lot of people level their bots up in way less time that what I did. I called the customer service line and was told a GM personally saw me cheating, which goes against every said above in the email from the GM.

Guess I'm posting this to just let you know SoE customer support is just as good as it has always been and if you do decide to come back don't play too much, or your account will be banned. I sent a response back and will let you all know the final outcome, but this just pisses me off. Here is the response I sent back if any one cares (I'm sure most don't):

I really don't know what to say here. Yes, I did achieve level 70 in 2 days played. If you look on the character in question he has about 40 experience potions in his bank and I used a level 75 cleric of mine to powerlevel him. I have never used cheats and even used to be in the guide program on this account (which I am sure you can verify).

I simply can not believe that I petition to have help about an item replaced lost due to a zone crashing and find out I'm banned for leveling too quickly. I've never heard of cheater logs, but I would also love to know what exploits I am being accused of using. I would really prefer to talk about this over the phone rather than email, but understand if that is not possible. My phone number to call is xxx-xxx-xxxx Please let me know what I need to do to get this resolved. Thank you.

Seriously. You would think if they had a "cheater log" they would be able to ban all the ghosters, warpers, and dupers over the years and it would send up red flags the second it happens instead of when someone petitions cause he lost an item due to faulty servers. Like it says in my response back to them, I used to be a guide. Unless something was added in the past 2 years with cheater logs, the only way to catch someone was personally see it happening.

What the motherfuck? I'm about to do the same god damn thing with my Berserker, not only is it possible, but I'm leveling at a slower pace by not using exp pots the entire time . Is there a way to talk to a GM who knows what the fuck they're talking about?

Best part is they say you cheated and DON'T ban you. Just delete, start over in 10 days, and keep paying the Sony train. Jesus christ Sony this is the shit people left for originally.

Also my roommate was missing the latest expansion, and noticed he had been paying for his account this whole time. He asked if he could get the expansion for free too since non-payers got it and the guy said no. He explained he thought he had cancelled his account and felt it was unfair that people not paying got the expansions and free playtime but he got nothing and the guy gave him a link to cancel his account and offered to do it for him. Anyone have a sony number?
