| every class in game is pretty much great. they have done a pretty good job balancing them. Warrior (my class) is always the best tank of course, but SK and paladins are very close to it and unless your equip suck no one will deny you a spot in group, specially considering knights' aggro controll is absolute, and you have your good ammount of tanking during many raid events (there are fights where you need 10 tanks) i cant go too deep on spells cause i dont know paladins well (my bro plays a SK) but you have a pretty badass class

| Yea, the multitude of hotkeys has ended my return to Norrath. Playing just isn't fun. Add to that the inane pull aggro where my arrow announces a pull to everyone within 20 yards and a body pull is barely detectable from 5 yards. That's just stupidly inconvenient. |

| That room sucks. What kind of loot do you get at the end of the waves? I wouldn't know, as every group I got upon my return was ass and we wiped in that room then disbanded. BTW as a guardian my "offense" was double that. I don't have the heals, but I'm basically forced to chain most of the offense to hold aggro. I grouped with a paladin who tanked and told me the problem was really a warrior one, that paladins had zero issues with aggro by comparison. |

+24 Internets | The waves don't end, you need to hit a switch somewhere to stop them from respawning, and that only holds them off for a certain period of time. That's assuming I remember that area correctly. My berserker used I think 10 combat skills not including taunts, I had about the same number of buffs that were cast and forget auras , so dying was a pain for re-casting but otherwise all my skills were easily accessible and comfortable. |

| Loots not great. But me and that necro are an amazing duo. We've done all the content up to 62 just the two of us. We barely managed to kill that room with the respawn rate. The good loot around there is Mines of Meldrath. Pretty easy to do once you've done it once.

| You really just need to take time and organize your spells and shit in eq2, cause they throw so much shit at you. I'm so glad tosee the crafting shit is put right into the crafting window now, cause that was another pile of shit you had to deal with. It doesnt help that every spell and ability icon are indistinguishable from one another, I don't even know what they are supposed to resemble. And I have 4 rows of 12 hotkeys on my WoW warlock that I can easily navigate Of course I haven't bothered really hotkeying anything in eq2. Maybe one day I'll get around to it but just putting my spells in some order than I can easily find my buffs, damage spells etc is a monumental task in itself. Yeah I said shit like 14 times, don't shit yourself over it ok |

+44 Internets | Turn those crappy cloaks off, they are embarrassing. Reminds me of DAOC. Furies are one of the good classes, gameplay wise. I still have four bars on screen and that's with ports, buffs, and fluff all hidden. My paladin was a good laugh, though. Seven weak AE's. Some spells that would actually lower dps due to loss of autoattack. Not an issue with combat arts, but most of them hit for squat. Sigh. Still a good group tank. |

Specced right, and geared well a Paladin can even raid tank fairly well. We used our token one on nights when the Guard wanted a break. Technically you could do all of KoS->EoF with it. I didn't play RoK though. Personally, I preferred them using their +40 to skills AA's ![]() But regardless of their utility and tanking abilities, I've never heard anyone say they're fun to play sadly. And yeah, Furies are the shit. They nuke and heal like champs. I've heard Inquis got a pretty nice DPS option now too, but I haven't checked it out. Might finally put Furies in their place a bit... ![]() Last edited by Jait : 06-07-2008 at 06:50 PM. | |

+2 Internets | How do I get EQ1 to stop fucking with my colors? When I load one window it gets really bright, when I load a second window it gets really dark but then evens out once I zone in. Is some setting off? Is EQWindows still better for 2 boxing on one PC? My background window lags really badly and won't autofollow even though I have a good PC, I remember using EQ Windows because running 2 instances normally sucked. |

+2 Internets | Does anyone have any clue why EQ2 runs like shit on my computer? I just spend a lot of money on my PC. I have the best Quad Core you can get, 2 XFX Geforce 8800 GTX 768mb, 4gig of ram, but EQ runs like ass. I can't seem to find anything on why this is. I shouldn't have to run the game on High Performance. If anyone knows of some trick or compatibility issue with my vid card or something, I would appreciate it. |

| I've read that it doesn't take advantage of your GPU nearly as much as it should, leaving most of the work to the CPU. Alledgedly they are working to offload some of the work onto the GPU. One of the most powerful settings to adjust is complex shader rendering distance. I generally have everything maxed and leave that close to 0. I wish night wasn't as dark as it is. I constantly need to use profitUI's super night vision setting to play during night-time. I didn't check on it, but I used to play with water and cloth settings down or off. I never use shadows, ever. Anyway. Just make sure your drivers are up to date. |

+8 Internets | Last time I checked eq2 doesn't utilize multiple cores, so those other three cores are just sitting there doing nothing. Pretty shitty when the game puts nearly the entire load on the CPU and yet isn't optimized for multiple cores. GOGO SoE |

| Yeah on any given raid mob i can press about 20ish buttons or so, possibly 30, but that is still tons more fun and enjoyable than when i played WoW as rogue for 2 years.
