I always felt mutilate/backstab build should outdamage swords in a pure damage environment cuz of the bitch it is to stay on the mob's back.

They seriously need to bring back dagger as a viable build.

And yeah even tho rogues are more fitting of a ninja image now than a sneaky bastard they should still bring back daggers. There are enough classes fighitng for swords as it is.

I agree 100% with that. Hell like 20% of their offensive abils requires a dagger in the MH

WTF, are you just auto attacking? Hunters > Warlocks in dps, which is how it should be. Warlocks bring much more utility than hunters. A hunter with legendary bow is outdoing warglaive rogues.

I can't think of any level of progression where this is true. Warlock dps on raids start to really shine when they have a strong destro set and by the time it happens Hunter dps is even better due to how they scale.

Both of you guys missed the pre-req for shadow dance, slaughter from the shadows, which reduces energy cost of backstab and ambush by 15.

So for shadow dance, assuming you start at full energy, it's vanish then ambush leaving 55 energy, 3 seconds later it's 85, ambush again, it's 40, 3 seconds later 70, ambush again 35, 3 seconds later 65, ambush again 20, and duration is out. That plus 100% chance to 70% snare/50% slow and block item use for 8 seconds from critical ambushes is pretty tasty.

I think the energy cost being 45 for backstab vs 40 for SS is going to make it extremely competitive for pve dps if you are that way inclined.

It's interesting actually - subtlety got some fantastic pve buffs, combat got more pvp focused stuff, looks like they don't want a pve/pvp split by tree as much.
