Well, not too sure about posting this here because being a noob at this forum someone else has probably already posted and i was unable to stumble upon it (although i did use the search and found nothing!)

Anyway, it went Beta yesterday and i was fortunate to watch someone play it. I'm currently downloading it myself so i can't really offer much information on it apart from whats found at the website.

Sounds like it's had alot of response as they're having to make a 5th server for us Beta players.

rang rang x1000. I think that they're bound to make "it" at some point by dumb luck considering the number of MMOs they pump out. Oh man, it does have jew-fros in game though.

I've been playing Rohan since the open beta started a few days ago. Its pretty neat so far, but it's getting boring fast for me. The classes are neat and the community on the first server isn't bad.

The Good
-Looks pretty, the spell animations and character models are pretty nice.

-You can get some really awesome spells by the time you're level 11 as that seems to be the highest level requirement for your talents

-The level grind so far isn't bad at all, in fact they have a exp multiplier when you're killing a bunch of mobs. And by the end you can have an extra 420% exp on a mob kill.

The Bad
-It doesn't seem I can kill anyone until I'm level 30. Anytime I click on someone it says "you must be level 30 to kill another player" Kinda lame.

-You have to allocate stat points. I have no idea if you can reset them later as no one seems to know when I've asked but I hate making a mistake with no way to correct it.

-There is a ton of stuff they throw at you in the tutorial and then when you drop into the game world there is like nothing. There are a few NPCs I've tried to get quests from but they're just guards, when during the tutorial I was able to complete 3 quests and leave at level 8 or so.

-And my biggest gripe about the game is that the camera does suck. It's click to move and wasd, I can't look behind me while running to see if that mob is still chasing me and end up in corners a lot. It's quite frustrating.

I'll keep playing it until my new computer arrives Saturday (Thanks to people in the AoC discussion) and then I'll move on to AoC.

And about the jumping in attacks, you don't actually get to jump thats just built in to the animations for some classes. As spacebar is used to pick up loot on the ground.

At first I thought this would be an awesome expansion for LotROO since I always loved the Rohan Lore and characters. I am disappointed.

Holy fuck that video is boring. Makes me appreciate the fact that we don't all play in cafes and actually prize being able to customize our controls and interfaces... rangrang games all are set up so you can be equally estranged by the game's interface no matter what cheap piece of crap you are playing on!

PS: Describing one of your classes as "such a deadly ambusher that its prey will likely not even get a swing off" and then describing yet another class on the same page as being even faster killers is not good.

This game also has an in town mini-game which is essentially Baccarat. You can bet up to 100,000 crone (money) on player or banker. Since finding the mini-game, the guys I moved over from Requiem with have blown all their money on it.

It costs 2,000,000 crone and level 30 to make a guild which is quite a lot considering mobs drop 20 crone per kill roughly. We'll never get a guild going if everyone keeps losing at baccarat...

Couple more things:

-The game is WSAD with a click to move option.

-The highest dps class is called "dragon-knight". Essentially, this class is one of the most OP classes I have ever seen in an MMO. They do the most dps, have insane attack speed, have taunt, can heal themselves, and can turn into a huge dragon. I mean give me a fucking break.

Im going to stick with it though because I am a Korean grindfest masochist.
