| Shear isn't a melee attack per se, it is a debuff that decreases maximum health by 60% for 7 seconds. Illidan has many other attacks though (as does Brutallus), and Illidan probably hits faster than Brutallus. Additionnally, Brutallus can use "Stomp" to reduce the targets's armor by 50%. Illidan can use "Draw Soul" to heal himself 100,000 HP, but if Brutallus enrages, 100,000 HP is merely two slashes. Also, Brutallus' non-Berserk melee can crit for up to 25,000. Illidan has a little over 6,000,000 HP, while Brutallus has a bit over 10,000,000. I really doubt Illidan would be able to do 4,000,000 within 7 seconds, so if Brutallus survives 6 minutes against Illidan, there is absolutely zero doubt that Illidan is not prepared.

I think Brutallus would get swarmed to death by these.

Meteor Slash : * Deals 20,000 Fire damage, splits evenly between all targets affected * Increases fire damage taken by 75% * Cannot be parried, dodged or blocked, missed or resisted Burn : * Deals Fire damage over time for 60 seconds, the last two ticks deal 3,600 damage. Parasitic Shadowfiends only have 3,500 HP according to WoWhead, so I'm thinking the initial Meteor Slash would kill most of them, and the Burn / Stomp would finish the rest.

+63 Internets | Between parasites absorbing meteor slashes (parasite debuff stacks iirc) and draw soul, I don't think Brutalis will get Illidan to phase 2 before the 6 minute enrage hits. Flame crash stacks though iirc, so Brut will be easily eating 20~30k+ dps though. If he does get him to that point though, the elementals will enrage and start hitting for 50k dmg per hit. Blaze stacks as well so Brut will be eating well over the 80k dps. The elementals are immune to fire damage so burn/meteor slash is a non-issue. At 1 million health each even enraged it'll take him some time to beat through them. Depending on if Brutallis is enraged going into P2 they may not do more then a million damage or so. At which point in P3, which I can almost guarantee he'd be enraged by if he's even still alive, can he kill Illidan before aura of dread + shadow barage + flame crash + the by now parasite legion sitting on top of him.. I honestly think Illidan could live long enough to deal 10.5 million damage. It's hard to remember Illidan deals a shitload of damage when so much of it is easily avoidable by 'intelligent' players. Brut's damage only seems so high in comparison because you can't negate most of it. Last edited by Zehn - Vhex : 05-21-2008 at 08:27 PM. |

| +Internets can now be exchanged for free original thought potions! | The talk of mobs and their AI scripting reminds me of the private EQ servers. Or the complete lack of it. Raid bosses, far as the eye can see, standing around like dumb shits or at best doing some no gear, level 40 equivalent melee. When I first heard of the private servers though "Hey, get the guild on this, practice encounters all day long. We die, just reset it." Yeah, totally not that cool. |
