+1 Internets | Something I haven't heard many mention, the music in AoC for me is amazing. Quite a few times I sit down after a long day at the office with a headset on, and just listen to the music before I do anything else. With the graphics being the best I've seen in a MMO to date as well, it's pretty nice. I'm on Deathwhisper FFA PVP server, the most populated PVP server. PVP is really all I'm interested in these days, and from a casual perspective due to my busy life, I'm having so much fun it shouldn't be legal. Okay I'm a ranger which are a little OP if you know what you're doing, but I think many people who enjoy PVP would have a good time. At higher levels soldiers own rangers (not true at lower levels). Hopefully the balance issues around gems will be addressed, as will caster survivability, one shotting, and the addition of some rewards / goals for PVP. But all in all, when I want to lose myself for a few hours, it rocks. I do still have an active EQ2 account, but more for the social aspect! |

That interview should be include 2 things only; When and how is AOC dealing with 1 shotting during pvp. What and when is the new high end content being released and how is the equipment more beneficial to the crap we have to deal with in tier 2.

| What are your guys thoughts on the direction the game is going right now? I've played since launch day with two RL friends and my wife. I'm the highest level at 52, so you can see I've had no motivation to grind out the levels though as I hear there's not nearly enough end game content. It's not that I'm a casual player (I'm playing FFXI like crazy) I'm just disheartened looking ahead in AoC, especially because of PvP. Lack of content is what pushed me away from WoW. When all I have to look forward to is the same four BG's and daily quests day in and day out it broke my spirit. So I have that sort of fear if I hit the cap in AoC. We're playing on a PvP server but currently I am PvE spec so I can tank instances, I have my taunt capped and all other points into resting (I have 0 Hide and 0 Perception). In PvP to any class that I've ran into that's even nearish my level they can't kill me, I just go defensive stance and run in circles reassuring them that if they keep up at it that they will eventually kill me (You can do it!!! Lets go %T!!! Awww you almost had me there, keep trying!!) but I can't nearly kill them. I can't snare, general tree remember, which is my own choice but damn if trying to be useful in a dungeon doesn't make me useless in PvP. So here's the question, stick it out with AoC or pre-order WAR and see what that's about? (I still dig XI but I can't get my friends to play it as the UI is the most primitive thing to grace the MMO scene) Ephron

+16 Internets | AoC was real fun for awhile, but there are so many exploits that I'm done and won't come back. Warhammer doesn't appeal to me and neither does WoW. Personally, I'm stuck in MMO limbo until The Agency or Stargate Worlds hit beta. Been cracking out on Team Fortress 2 every few hours.

| It seems like gemduping got fixed and on testserver the gem-effects got reduced by like 90 pct (all gems). Since dropped items in AoC (greens, blue, epic) are basically more or less randomly gemmed items with invisible gems (green = 1 gem, blue = 3, epic = 5) with few exceptions, I guess all items will have greatly reduced stats next patch. There is hope it will resolve alot of one-shot issues and may allow em to deploy the pvp system. I let my sub run out, cya at the end of next year AoC, maybe. |
