As an Emarr player in EQ1 (not in Ebonlore, but most everyone on the server had the "pleasure" of knowing them); ebonlore core is a bunch of shitheads. The leadership prolly just sold off the assets, blamed it on hacking, and split.

Ebonlore's core group needs to die in a thousand fiery fires constructed primarily of fire.

This is pretty much what happened except you left out the reason why they needed to do this.

They are a hardcore guild, and hardcore guilds just can't flake out on every MMO they play (Vanguard, EQ2 Shadowbane, etc). Otherwise they lose their hardcore status and casual scrubs will start applying clogging recruitment with worthless players. They pulled this stunt because it keeps the reputation of Ebonlore secure, and the inner council's pride stays intact. So now they can say they were HACKED out of AoC instead of bailing out like they usually do when they come to the realization a game sucks.

Nobody would app to ebonlore again if they knew they bailed on their second MMO this year.

Ebonlore is known for only one thing, the exploits, and even at using them they suck they get caught all the damn time get banned in every game for it, they never accomplished anything in any game that could explain why peoples know them other than that (and well the guild funds selling in shadowbane), in PvP even exploiting they get owned in PvE (aka raid) they are really average (and still exploiting)... .
I doubt they get anything but littles scrubs to app for them since they started existing.
I am glad this guild exist because you don't even have to figure out who are the retards on your server they all wear the same flag, so excuse me but talking about pride, quality players,... about ebonlore is sorta amusing.

Ebonlore was top guild in EQ2 and in Vanguard. And I think they did alright in Shadowbane before they got zerged and had to sell out.

Just because there is some questionable use of game mechanics and some bot programs doesn't mean they haven't been #1 in a few different games.

You can have your own reasons, but there is no denying their domination in whatever MMO they land on.

oh please, they're fucking godawful. Seeing 18 ebonlore backpedal and keyboard turn away from 3 of us on a nightly basis was just hilarious. Total skill-less zerg guild who would spam recruitment ads in /ooc. Only reason they have any reputation is because they've gotten banned from games.
