you know what the new rage is gonna be after this pvp change is implemented... tons of level 20 alts running around in high level zones trying to get killed by other players. itll be epic reverse ganking fun.

i think the idea is to be like EQ/2s reward system and give people a little for subbing to the game... if its a main source of pp then it will be kinda gay.

I like most of the ideas they posted. The only one that worries me is the red system, it was a bit disfunctional in L2 and i hope they can iron out the problems but it makes me uncomfortable given how few details there are.

The kingship system sounds badass, finally a game that realizes that people play on pvp servers to pvp. I hope it makes blizz sit up a bit too and maybe start backing away from their everyone wins approach and add in some real pvp instead of the token shit they have been putting out for the last few years.

Its gonna be nice if they keep the focus more on pvp and dont pull a fast one and switch out to making raids that 99 percent of the people playing dont enjoy. I think people will be surprised at how fast wows numbers will melt if conan does everything it wants to in the next 6 months.

Hey - a bounty system.

Nudge for wow to steal, ahem, INNOVATE that for the WOTLK traffic jam, to really give world PVP something going for it.

Hell, even implementing it into the battlegrounds in a smaller scale would be fun, now that it is insta-honor. Give a multiplier for killing someone who is notorious / on a kill streak.

It'd be a nice, natural targeting enhancement when out of the 5 people attacking the healer who hasn't died because they were in the background has a different icon/color/name arrangement.

What is refreshing about AOC is that even with the game in the state it is in, you simply get the sense that they're doing public fine tuning rather than keeping it in the secret lab. This is why even considering how broken it is for some people (namely small-guild, shitty class rollers) people are rolling alts to play around with and boosting the numbers on overpowered POM, Necros and TOSes as well as honestly saying they will play it in the weeks or months from now when things are fixed.

Though still, these patch notes and even forum posts should be reading like a laundry list for Blizz. It is good that there is finally some real competition on the PVP front. Arena and BGs have been given a free ride 'til now.

I'd be really surprised if Blizzard felt anything pvp wise. The vast majority that play aren't hardcore pvpers. Hardcore pvpers are very vocal, but also in the very minority. Not saying Arena/BG isn't boring as fuck, but let's be realistic here.

It'll be pretty amusing watching the QQ from guilds as they watch their battlekeep get destroyed after putting in all those resources. That is definitely not a task for the casual pvper.

Until these ideas are more than a newsletter with an ETA of 'later this year' Blizzard isn't going to even acknowledge it.

Right now PvP in AoC is a fucking joke and until that changes everything else is just more baseless hype.
