| I've stuck it out since release; our guild's remained solid since the getgo with only a 2 member loss since May. This morning, half of Hell seemed to break loose on the guild board about the state of the game. A lot of us seemed to reach the same level of boredom at the exact same moment. We've been patiently overlooking the problems - hell, the ingame mail lost all of our T2 Keep mats and we spent a week dealing with their "customer service" to get them back (we did get them back). At the point we're at, staying on board is our own damn fault but I think I'm personally about done with it. We've got some people who want to hang on and wait for this to become the game they want - and I don't doubt that it will, but I'm sure as fuck not waiting around for 6-12 months for it. I think it's too late for them to turn it around. There was too much wrong with it at release to instantly capture their audience and there's too much wrong with it now to gain many new subs. I think it'll go the way of EQ2: perpetually supporting 200k people and literally 2 inches away from awesome but never quite getting there. Crafting is the most unrewarding shit I've ever experienced in a game other than feeding a fucking chocobo for 6 hours in FFXI. I wasn't sure anything would top that for me but AoC crafting did it. Let's group harvesting in there with crafting too - at least they finally added map markers for nodes. And whoever thought it was a good idea to allow one person access to the guild bank...I wish I knew where you lived. As convoluted as the UI is, it wouldn't surprise me if more than one person could and I never noticed it. I could go on for another hour or so but I'm just going to leave it at that. The game has insane potential but that's not something you want to be telling your friends 3 months after release. That's more of a beta-esque type comment.

| Same deal with every MMO coming out these days. They all just fail. People who thought AoC would be a decent game just because it has gore and tits are the same retards that figured out Vanguard being "decent". Oh and while we're at it, Warhammer will be the next failure. It's no rocket science figuring out why it's going to happen, is it. Yea, thought so. |

The problem is gonna be a year from now, when the subs are ~500k or so, and EA decides to start tinkering with it to make it "more PVE to get more subs", then that'll fuck things up. Cuz EA doesn't want a modestly profitable game, they want the next billion dollar game. | |

| Problem with aoc wasnt that it was a shitty game from the ground up, problem was it was unfinished in the endgame and funcom did the worst possible job of fixing issues and getting an endgame in. I had a ton of fun for my first month in AoC. But after that you basically ran out of things to do and couple that with the worst patch cycle. They didnt focus on what they needed to focus on post release and the game is fucked because of it, they had a decent enough base to make a good game at release but the project management on the live team was prolly right up there with SWG for worst ever. |

| ...beside the lame combat system, but people also play eve and I guess that means people dont really care about it and would be happy to pvp with a noninteractive random number generator for all I know. Oh yea and WAR is no real PvP game. Its a RvR game. Thats basicly PvP minus the good stuff. |
