You need tier 3 city to craft tier 3 stuff, so right off the bat you have the upper hand if you're in a zerg guild. Past that the gem system is fairly idiotic and given the only restrictions are size (uncut vs flawless) it only limits having less or more of a given stat - whichever stat you want to stack the hell out of, whether be it immunities, evade chance, fatality (barbarians running around with 100% chance to fatality is just amazing), or +magic damage... and this only covers about half of the gems, the rest are basically useless.

Gem Crafting is bugged. When you get the quest it says you need certain buildings, but you don't. You can Master Gem Crafting at the moment incredibly easily. Just takes 3 gems each tier (uncut or flawless), any recipe.

The quest is bugged also, though. You have to log out and back in, or zone, in between every gem you make for the quest, or the quest won't update.

its not going good on ebay for AoC, I added all the account sales I could find over the weekend to my watch list, suprisingly eBay hasn't deleted any. The ones with low level ( < 50) chars sold for $20-30, which basically means you can buy a new account for cheaper than you can buy a box at a retail store and get a free char thrown in. A 80 conq on Deathwhisper is currently bid up to $600 (!), while a 80 Demo on a PVE server sold for $170.

So pretty much to make any money you need to sell a 80 on a PVP server, and even then only 2-3 specific PVP servers are generating bids, any char under 80 is selling for less than box cost.

Btw, whats the difference between a level 40 blue cloak and a level 70 blue one (same for rings and necklace), seems like they are identical (they have no stats, just slots) except for the level req to wear them

afaik the gems you can put it
you shouldnt be able to put lvl 75 gems in lvl 40 items

That seems pretty insane to me given how quickly one can powerlevel up any character right now. Then again, people are probably buying gold still, even though accumulating gold is pretty damned trivial at high levels as well.

Finished all the tiers (of gemcrafting) guildless today... no idea why it wasn't (or more like was, I guess) working for you.

I'd love to craft, but sadly they can't fix the fucking weaponcrafting bug where your crafting quest poofs and the guy won't talk to you anymore.

A couple hours later after restarting the game I was actually able to finish the next tier, I have no idea why it wouldnt let me cut the gems earlier(after zoning just like the previous tiers). WTB gem bag...

Demonologists are topping the charts in my parsings with Tempests second. Some Demonologists are sustaining over 1000 DPS, it's crazy. The gimp ass Tempests are down around 800.
