+24 Internets | From a quick glimpse at the whinning, they nerfed AE for everyone, but boosted single target damage? Or at least for ToS and necro, but I guess everyone else will follow. Sounds pretty ok to me(even though I play a necro). Gonna check if I can still solo yhakmar since I need those stupid pants still, waiting for the patch notes. |

That change is so fucking stupid that I could stab the retard who did this to our class. Seriously if they have too many necro and tos players that could just cancel their subscriptions themselves instead of fagging the game up like this. Oh I can feel the nerdrage. +24 Internets | Well necro was heavily nerfed, I'm definitely not doing the last 2levels on him until a further buff. See, it was definitely OPed in the AE, but nerfing all the AEs widely without buffing anything to balance it is just plain stupidity. Especially since necros single target was already pretty much the lowest in the game. It's on the level of a def stance guardian(without positioning, so a tad better I guess). It's a good change for PvP, and I actually asked for AE nerfs, but I didn't expect them to nerf AEs without thinking of what would become of the AE classes. I don't know about ToS, one of our ToS said it wasn't all that bad for PvP(but leveling was shitty or whatever). I do know about necros though, and these changes are pretty much retarded. Oh and it's nice seeing 3feats changes which are totally useless because they increase totally worthless spells. Chill is now AE, and Frost Blast now does more damage, fucking great, if I could actually land frost blast on anything but a stationary target right in front of me. P.S.: This mostly affects PvP, for single target PvE, necro is actually pretty good, assuming stationary targets and chain casting rotations+melee pets. |

+24 Internets | They couldn't get patch notes up on the test server for a week, I doubt they'll get them anytime soon. Not like it matters much, a lot of people have found out most of the class changes, the only thing that might go unnoticed is them fixing random quests and shit(but not arena it seems). |

| I don't understand what is so hard about making gems, silk, etc searchable on the trader. By the time they are available all the random idiots are going to know which ones are actually valuable.

+9 Internets | Patch notes not up yet but a dev has posted necro changes : As there are many threads and it seems that comments can easily be lost in the many threads. AoE Damage Modifications Parasitic Soul Swarm and Unholy Hands were dealing significantly more damage than similar spells and rebalanced to do the correct damage for AoE-based spells. Similarly, the Archmagus pet was dealing roughly 25% higher base damage than intended and was lowered. This was a decrease of roughly 25% without feats, and 20% with feats. This is also in line with other AoE effects in the game. Despoil the Soul As was mentioned previously, the change made is an increase to the effectiveness of this spell compared to the previous mechanic. The decreases in damage mentioned above and from other sources are not due to this change, but due to other changes or issues. This mechanic will not change as it more accurately reflects the intended DPS increase of the feat when compared to DPS from each pet point. However, we will be looking at the duration of Despoil the Soul in order to make it less of a burden to keep active. Siphon Unlife Issues We are aware of a code issue that is causing Siphon Unlife damage dealt to pets to scale with bonus magical damage. This is unintended and will be fixed soon. Damage Coefficients There was a data issue that has resulted in some spells, specifically Lifestrike and Flesh to Worms, not gaining the new damage bonus from +magical damage. This will be corrected in the next patch. (Lifestrike will gain 65% of your bonus magical damage instead of 11% as currently being used.) Other Adjustments Coming We will continue to review the damage to make sure that Necromancers are doing the target DPS at given levels. It is intended for Necromancers to be a competitive damage class at the top levels of DPS. Spells will continue to be adjusted until this the class is performing at the correct levels. Additionally, melee pets will deal splash damage very much like normal melee attacks. This change will come in the one of the next couple code updates.
